| What we do

ROJ 2020-02

• The term “Technology”, in English, has a rather broad meaning

and it is referred not only to the “study of the industrial arts” but to the industrial arts themselves.

• In ROJ technology still can be use in the literal sense of "science of craft", from Greek τέχνη, techne, "art, skill, cunning of hand"; and -λογία, -logia.

• Working with Electronics we say that we make High Technology.

• Our skill and our “industrial product”, with few exceptions, is used to produce the machines or the equipment necessary to produce the goods that we, as human beings, can buy and use.

• This means that we must always target the final need of the consumer, otherwise our job can be considered rather boring…and risks to be infertile.

ROJ 2020-02

• 1965 Remo Roj and Sergio Vella start the company ROJ s.n.c.

• 1974 WEST is the first weft feeder with independent motor at variable speed

• 1988 ROJ produces more than 42.000 weft feeders in one year

• 1992 ROJ joins the Swedish group IRO

• 2000 The company enters the VANDEWIELE group

• 2008 ROJ focuses on electronic production and starts its diversification

• 2014 first approach to the Smart factory concept and the first big special project

• 2018 Project Industry 4.0 – Smart working – E-learning projects

Each company of the VANDEWIELE Group is a centre of excellence, the activities of each are focused on what each reality knows how to "do" better.

The skills are available to the Group and partners, with the common strategy of offering the excellence in production.
