Archimedia was established in 2003 based upon a shared vision: to integrate premium quality home entertainment systems within residential spaces, maximize the potential of available technology to enhance the audio-visual experience, and enable automation within the home. The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) is an international trade association of companies that specialize in planning and installing electronic systems for the home. These systems include home networking, home automation and communication systems, media rooms, single or multi-room entertainment systems, and integrated whole-house subsystems providing lighting control, security, and HVAC systems.
CEDIA provides top-ranked educational conferences, industry professional training, and certification focused on the installation and integration of residential electronic systems that consumers use to enhance their lifestyles. One of CEDIA’s key missions and driving forces is public policy representation. CEDIA’s public policy efforts are designed to support CEDIA members and ensure that their abilities to own and operate their businesses are not impeded.
Archimedia are proud members of CEDIA, the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association. We have more CEDIA Certified staff than every other company in the region put together. Our Technical Director regularly teaches industry best practice courses for CEDIA all around the Globe, and has his name on numerous standards, recommended practices and white papers published by CEDIA. One of our Directorsis currently on the CEDIA board.
Over the past 2 years, Archimedia has won four CEDIA awards for its work. We won Best Integrated Home in 2016 and have won best Marine (Boat) System two years running in 2015 and 2016. Our Technical Director, Peter Ayett, won the 2015 Lifetime Achievement award for service to the industry over his now 27 year long career. System Design & DocumentationOnce intake documents are prepared, our team of designers and engineers will work on a detailed proposal that outlines every specific element of our suggested solution to ensure that all desired functionality is achieved. An extensive set of drawings are also painstakingly created that graphically depict every element of the proposed system: these drawings are the foundation of any successful project.

PETER AYLETTTechnical DirectorPeter is a globally-respected residential technology expert, with 23 years’ experience in the sector. Having spent much of his career working for some of the UK’s most respected technology integrators, Peter was recently distinguished with the role of Director of Professional Development for CEDIA, and his expertise in industry standards, education, certification and general technology trends is unparalleled. As a result Peter is in demand as a speaker and lecturer in residential technology, and in 2012 he led courses and inspirational seminars across Europe, China, Australia, New Zealand, North America and the Middle East.
Peter also chairs CEDIA’s Applied Content Action Team as part of their internationally-acclaimed Technology Council. The Council is responsible for keeping all CEDIA members and affiliates abreast of developments in the fastmoving custom electronics industry. He also writes ‘bleeding edge’ industry white papers, in addition to contributing toward the continued development of industry excellence education programs.Peter ensures that Archimedia continuously delivers the highest performing integrated systems in a way that enables end-users to embrace technology and the digital world around them.
Peter graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a B.Eng. in Mechanical and Production Engineering in 1990. He holds multiple CEDIA certifications as well as ISF and HAA accreditation.

HALIM GREISSCEO & Founding PartnerHalim Greiss is one of the region’s most innovative and respected residential system designers, as well as an accomplished project manager and consultant. His work can be found in the homes of royalty, VIPs and connoisseurs throughout the region. He is one of the founders of Archimedia and has been pivotal in Archimedia’s becoming one of the industry’s most respected companies, both regionally and internationally.
Halim started his career with Bang and Olufsen in Egypt and was one of the region’s highest producing salesmen during his time with them. He has since been involved in many of the region’s most complex integrated solutions, including luxury yachts, palaces and multi-dwelling residential compounds.
Halim graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Political Science and Economics in 1998 and has attended extensive industry training at CEDIA, Crestron Technical Institute and Bang & Olufsen.
AHMED REFAIRegional Director of Business Development Ahmed Refai joined Archimedia in 2010 bringing with him 10 years of experience in the Information Communication & Technology Industry. He has worked in various reputable organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Raya Integration, Internet Security Systems and Vodafone. During his career Ahmed has gained experience not only in Sales, but also in Partner Channel Management, Strategy & Business Development and Operations process improvement.
Ahmed has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from AIU in Los Angeles.

SHADY PETROGeneral Manager - EgyptShady joined Archimedia Egypt in 2012 as the Projects Manager. Shady had managed projects in the MEA, Europe and US regions in his past experience. Shady’s past projects focused on IT &Telecommunications, Audio & Video and Home Automation. Within a year, Shady promoted to the Operations Manager post of the Egypt business. In 2015 he was appointed General Manager of the business unit. Shady is also a musician and has quite the experience in live and studio audio. Shady is personally involved in the different phases of the projects from inception to closure while ensuring timely and efficient execution keeping Archimedia’s and international standards, along with customer satisfaction while handling the running operations of the business unit. Shady holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Management. He also holds a certificate of Project Management (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) along with the EST2 Certificate from CEDIA. He is also a CEDIA certified outreach Instructor

CHETAN BHATTOperations Manager - United Arab EmiratesFrom a very early age Chetan became interested in Home Automation after seeing an interesting documentary on this emerging industry before entering into University. After completing a Physics and Electronics degree, he joined the very large and reputable integration company V-Tech in India as a technician, going on to become a fully qualified Crestron programmer and eventual project coordinator. In 2008 Chetan then joined Archimedia in Dubai for a few years and then developed his own business which he ran for almost a decade. Returning to Archimedia as Operations Manager, Chetan brings with him a great deal of experience and a full understanding of the all the elements managing installation teams.
SHERIF EL DAHSHANGeneral ManagerSherif Dahshan joined Archimedia in February 2010 after working in the audiovisual and automation industry for more than 10 years between Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Being familiar with worldwide suppliers for audiovisual and automation systems, coupled with his passion for entertainment and attention to detail, made him a perfect fit for Archimedia’s Operations Management.
As the General Manager, Sherif was responsible for managing and ensuring smooth project life cycles - starting from ideas on papers to execution and delivery – always making sure we meet the level of quality that would satisfy our clients.
Sherif’s dedication to Archimedia, coupled with his tremendous knowledge of the company and market let to his promotion in 2012 and his current position of General Manager.
Sherif holds a Bachelor degree in Communication engineering, and has attended design & programming courses for Lighting & Automation systems.

ALI BOUKILIManaging PartnerAli has spent much of his career working in the UK for a renowned IT consultant that counted some of the world’s largest multinational companies among its clients. He specialised in leading the implementation of large and complex mission-critical information systems, and Ali was recognised very early on as a talented team leader due to his hands-on approach and ability to coach others. As both a successful entrepreneur and proven business manager, Ali has chosen the residential home entertainment and automation industry as a channel for his IT expertise. The rapid adoption of household technology coupled with Morocco’s rapid real estate development generated an opportunity that Ali could not ignore and led to the establishment of Archimedia in Morocco.
Ali holds a post-graduate degree in Information Systems Management from the London School of Economics. Before that he had attended the Al-Akhawayn University in Morocco as well as the South Bank University in London, where he obtained an Honours degree in Business Studies.
