Macnil is an informatics, electronics and telecommunication company. It is specialized in projecting integrated wireless/web system and telecontrol through GSM/GPRS/GPS infrastructure. Macnil creates wireless/web solutions for managing informatics system, business software, and GSM/GPRS/GPS telecontrol software. Macnil builds wireless/web solutions accessible via internet through web browser, cellular phones, smartphone, and industrial PDA. Furthermore, Macnil develops client applications on mobile phones for business world as well as consumer needs, using innovative technologies (E.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and RFID).

Our history began when an IT man met an Electronic TLC Engineering woman. Both of them were fixed on capitalizing their experience, their know-how for realizing several IT products, through the application of known technologies for satisfy common needs.Hence, the Macnil team is born for creating a technological district in Southern Italy through the cooperation of business sectors specialized firms, sharing the common mission of offering IT excellent products and services through a well-defined sales network of resellers and distributors.

Macnil develops advanced electronic system for specific applications. The acquisition of Microlaben Srl, a Polytechnic University spin-off, has the objective of counting an external well-built R&D department in strong relationship with the inner R&D team.

DAISY-Net is a Consortium company established for being the Apulia pivot for ICT matters throughout Southern Italy. Macnil is an important point of reference within the Consortium Company thanks to its skills and knowledge of developing business.

The Intec consortium company is the tool with which Macnil applies to Regional Public Procurement within the ICT sections. Nowadays the Consortium company claims several participations to R&D regional Public projects. The Consortium company is able to offer a wide range of high-tech products and services.

Telecom Italia SpA is concentrating on developing advanced services on ICT, which are able to improve life quality and increase healthcare system efficiency.Telecom Italia is focusing on the diabetological care investment through the Linea@Medica Diabete created and produced by Macnil.

“Domino Mobile Meter” is a diagnostic device created by Macnil in vitro. It allows people to view through a Blackberry phone all the medical parameters on display. Immediately, it sends all the data to a web application hosted by Telecom Italia Datacenter. So, the patient can consult anytime he/she needs the glycaemic diary, which is stored and constantly updated. All the process is managed directly by a Blackberry or by a PC. In addiction can be shared with a health caring team.

Thanks to this system it will be gained realtime and in mobility an interactive process among doctor and patient.Moreover, the healthcare service will be more functional. The doctor in charge will be ready to assist the patient. On the other side, the patient will not need to move to surgery or hospital, saving time and money.
