About 3C Metal

Established in 1995 in France, 3C Metal is a global leader in providing sophisticated engineering services to the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. Over the years we have grown as an organization and now extend our services to the petrochemical, renewable energy, power generation, marine and mining industries.

3C Metal specializes in steel fabrication, with a core specialty of high pressure (HP) piping processes and techniques. Our centralized engineering department enables us to provide holistic engineering solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of our clients. We use detailed engineering and laser scanning technology to create innovative designs, tailored to our clients’ operational requirements.

We have strategically located our fabrication capabilities across three continents in order to service regional requirements and provide support to projects in all

areas of the globe. We offer local and remote inspection capabilities, we cater to most client specifications and we always endeavor to meet or exceed the standards set down by current industry requirements.

Our multidisciplinary teams use project-specific tools and equipment to carry out installation projects in remote and offshore locations. 3C Metal’s experienced Project Managers ensure efficient delivery and seamless integration with any ongoing operations. 3C Metal – Sauvelade, France

3C Metal was established in France in 1995 with the aim of providing HP piping, welding and installation solutions to the oil and gas industry. 3C Metal in France is our global hub for technical expertise, administration and management services.Capabilities include the following:

• 2000m2 workshop and 4000m2 yard.• Piping – welding, post weld heat treatment, pressure testing, surface treatment, non-destructive testing (NDT)

including ultrasonic testing (UT), X-ray inspection (RT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and dye penetrant inspection (DPI).

• Structural – welding, surface treatment, NDT.

3C Metal South Africa – Cape Town, South Africa

3C Metal South Africa was established in 2007 and is the African hub for the 3C Metal Group. Our team in Cape Town delivers projects to local clients and drives business development in the Africa region.Capabilities include the following:

• 3200m2 workshop.• Piping – welding, post weld heat treatment, pressure testing, surface treatment, NDT (including UT, RT, MPI, DPI).• Structural – welding, surface treatment, NDT.• Welding processes - SMAW, FCAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW.• Surfacing capabilities such as Stellite hardfacing and Inconel overlays for corrosion resistance using robotic

3C Subsea – Cape Town, South Africa

3C Subsea was established in South Africa in 2012. The team in Cape Town provides riser and capital drilling equipment, inspection, repair and recertification services. 3C Subsea is a GE Oil & Gas Channel Partner for marine drilling risers in Sub-Saharan Africa.Capabilities include the following:

• 26,000m2 yard.• Hydraulic HP testing up to 30,000Psi, welding, post weld heat treatment, pressure testing, surface treatment,

NDT (including UT, RT, MPI, DPI), buoyancy module repairs.

3C Metal has worked in the Middle East since 2001. In 2009 we established 3C Metal Middle East to better serve the needs of local clients and act as our hub for engineering, project management and personnel deployment.Capabilities include the following:

3C Metal Asia was established in 2014. Our team in Johor Bahru delivers projects to local clients and drives business development in the Asia region, as well as providing viable contract specific options for post-delivery work scopes on newly-built and reactivated rigs.Capabilities include the following:

3C Supply focuses on global sourcing for the 3C Metal Group projects. 3C Supply works in partnership with qualified manufacturers and suppliers to allow us to offer our clients the best deals on the best products. Product range includes:

• HP piping - seamless pipes, manifold fittings, hammer lug unions and other monogrammed API 6A products. • Cameron DEMCO® products (official main distributor) - mud gate valves DM 7500 and DM 5000, repair kits

and butterfly valves. • Sales and rental of fully-equipped tool containers for remote installation and inspection projects. • Technical products for all piping or structural work. • PPE, Tech Cal chart recorders, miscellaneous tools, equipment and consumables.

Belmet Marine – Cape Town, South Africa

Belmet Marine became part of 3C Metal Group in 2016. Belmet Marine provides heavy fabrication capabilities, innovative manufacturing techniques and local market knowledge to help further our operations in the Africa region.Capabilities include the following:

• 3 x 2000m² pre-fabrication workshops, 10,000m² Yard.• Welding processes - SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, SAW, GTAW, STT.• Over 400 welding procedures developed for carbon steel, aluminum, Duplex, Superduplex and Iconel cladded

pipes – approved to international standards ABS, DNV, AWS, EEMUA, Lloyds, EN.• Specialized services in fabrication and construction, engineering, project management, site installation, service

Belmet Marine Engineering Namibia – Walvis Bay, Namibia

Belmet’s Walvis Bay fabrication facility was opened in 2010 and became part of 3C Metal Group in 2016. The facility provides an ideal proximity to West African markets.Capabilities include the following:

• 1200m² fabrication facility, 2500m² yard.• Specialized services in fabrication and construction, engineering, project management, site installation, service

center, procurement and general supplies.

Every 3C Metal employee understands the value and importance of safe work practices and protecting the environment. This is most evident in our workshop and remote deployment activities.

We have developed software to support our quality management systems, making them easier and more efficient to use. These systems are evident in the work practices of each individual and every team within 3C Metal.

3C Metal has also invested significantly in the development and improvement of welding techniques and processes to ensure we are the industry leader in this respect - currently we hold approximately 600 welding Procedure Qualification Records. We will continue to improve and develop in this area and improve efficiency through new machinery and techniques.

Project ManagementOur dedicated project management teams drive projects from start to finish. Initiating a project onsite allows the project scope to be promptly defined and agreed. The same 3C

Metal team will then take the project through design and engineering, classification society approval, procurement, fabrication, logistics, installation, integration and testing.

Projects are meticulously managed and monitored to ensure maximum efficiency with respect to schedule and cost. By emphasizing pre-installation planning and customer liaison we ensure seamless integration and minimize the impact on ongoing client operations.

Engineering3C Metal’s engineers design complex and intricate structural and piping solutions and seamlessly integrate them into vessels or facilities. Traditional survey techniques have been enhanced by 3C Metal’s laser scanning

capabilities, which allow us to conduct onsite surveys and provide accurate 3D models of intricate areas. We can conduct clash checks between existing and newly-designed structures and piping and address issues at the design phase, improving installation efficiency.

Our engineers use the latest software and enhancement

technology to provide accurate and detailed 2D and 3D drawings. Products used include:

positioned to meet the needs of our clients.

InstallationOur teams have been deployed on projects on every continent, in remote and offshore locations (including transit voyages).

3C Metal’s installation teams are supported by fully-equipped tool containers, tailored to suit each project. With safety and quality as their primary focus, Project Engineers or Project Managers and experienced Supervisors lead teams of qualified technicians.

Services include:• Structural – purpose-built structures, equipment

foundations, load bearing decks and walkways.• Piping – HP and LP piping, stainless steel piping

and tubing, post weld heat treatment, flushing, pressure testing and passivation.

• Electrical and related installations through partnerships – power and switchboards, communications, internet and telephone, CCTV, fire and gas, PAGA.

Inspection3C Metal offers local and remote inspection capabilities. In-house expertise is available to handle most inspection requirements with a wide range of calibrated gauging

equipment. Remotely, 3C Metal deploys highly qualified multidisciplinary teams to any location. Our teams assist clients with the inspection of parts or assemblies based on client, OEM or third party specifications.
