Sampling Design: The research was conducted on a sample size of 171

Indian IT professionals working on SAP and 158 Indian IT professionals working onsite on BI in USA .

The universe for this study was all the Indian IT professionals working in USA on all the SAP and BI softwares.

The professionals were selected in the order they themselves approached or their resumes were sent to Formulasys Inc, on a first come first serve basis.

A sample of 171 was selected in order to avoid any sampling errors for an actual sample size of 160 professionals.

Research Methodology

Page 14: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 14

◦ Sources and methods of data collection:

Primary data: Data for analysis was collected by telephonic

conversation with these consultants using a structured questionnaire.

Secondary data: Secondary data for understanding the subject

and arriving at a problem statement was collected from internet, books and magazines.

Page 15: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 15

◦ Methods of analysis and statistical techniques:

Initially a factor analysis was conducted in order to arrive at the key factors for the further data collection and analysis.

The data hence collected was analyzed using bar graphs and pie charts.

Page 16: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 16

◦ Scheme of study: The study was conducted in three steps;

A factor analysis to generate key factors. A data analysis based on these key factors. A conclusion was drawn based on these findings.

Page 17: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 17

◦ Limitations of study: The study faces a major limitation of a small

sample size. The authenticity of the engineers is a problem. There were communication barriers due

problem in phone lines as the survey was conducted on a telephone.

The project is related with the Indian IT professionals only and ignores US citizens in the survey.

1. technical consultants with updated knowledge came into more demand.

2. being on bench for a few months, most of the consultants were ready to work for rates between $40-60 per hour.

3. maximum number of consultants had been on bench for 2 to 6 months.

4. most of the consultants were willing to relocate anywhere in USA.

5. some of the consultants who are still on projects have applied for a new project.

Conclusion

Page 36: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 36

6. Most of the IT consultants currently working onBI in USA are males

7. The researcher found that the clients preferred graduates over masters or doctoral candidates; this also could be due to the rate asked by these consultants.

8. The industry in which last project done is important while submitting consultant to the client as the client organization looks for the consultants who have specific industry experience.

Page 37: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 37

Update the database with consultant’s information that is important while bidding.

The company can bid more projects that need more technical consultants as there is vast availability of technical consultants.

The company should bid more up gradation projects as most of the ABAP consultants are having last project on up gradation.

As most of the consultants are having last project done in Banking & Insurance, Healthcare and Manufacturing industry, the company should bid more projects in these industries.

The company must accept maximum projects on cognos software as it has maximum demand from the clients.

Suggestions and Recommendations

Page 38: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 38

It is recommended that the company can bid low for those projects that need technical consultants as most of the technical consultants are ready to work at low rates due to recession.

It can be suggested that the company must bid for the projects giving lower rate per hour for the consultants as maximum of the professionals are ready to work at lower rates. This will help the company to generate business during the downturn of the economy.

The researcher can suggest the company to keep the project duration lower as the client companies are not willing to spend more time in implementing the software hence increasing their cost.

Page 39: Company Summer Project

04/10/2023Niraj Dubey 39

The company should not bid those projects that need more number of Administrators because there are only a few administrators available.

The company should bid projects that include implementation of financial accounting and control as there are more FICO consultants available in market.

The company must bid on most of the projects irrespective of the location as the consultants are willing to relocate anywhere in USA.
