The CCDA model is a highly effective development methodology, that leverages a multiplicity of programming, using a single entry point and operational platform, maximizing program impact and donor return on investment while reducing administrative and management time for the client

JAM does not only establish and operate the initial programs, it also provides a management service to handle all community liaison and communications, conducts intensive capacity building with local NGO’s and CBO’s to ensure handover of operations and sustainability.

In addition, JAM also provides a CSI fund management service, to actively manage distribution of funds

Helping Africa help itself

JAM’s goal is to “Help Africa help itself” through sustainable and targeted developmental programming - providing a ‘Hand-Up’ rather than a hand-out

JAM’s programming is child-focused, with core activities in child nutrition, water and sanitation, agricultural development, economic development and HIV/AIDS programs

JAM is uniquely positioned to address African development, with its headquarters in South Africa and focused exclusively on the African continent, while still operating in accordance with global standards, receiving international funding and registered as a U.S. 501©3 and as a registered charity in Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Canada and Norway

JAM takes a distinct approach to its programs, focusing strongly on sustainability, through a Complete Community Assistance approach and a strong emphasis on developing national human capital and building infrastructure

JAM has a highly professional, multinational staff of more than 800 full time employees with many leading experts in their respective fields. JAM’s ‘first nationals’ employment policy actively contributes to national human capital development

Helping Africa help itself

JAM is in the process of adding a ‘Ready to Use Therapeutic Food’ (Plumpynut) plant to our Mozambique facility, and will be producing an RUTF for malnourished people and people living with HIV/AIDS

JAM has the flexibility to use in-kind commodities from donors to process into fortified blended foods, allowing for reduced final product costs and increased programming capabilitiesJAM factories form an important part of the JAM sustainability plan for each country, by providing a national ability to produce vitally-needed fortified blended foods for nutritional programming. Ultimately, these factories will operate as nationally-owned entities supplying food into nationally-funded programs, and the commercial market. The factories provide a market for local commercial and small holder farmers, stimulating local agricultural development
