Complete Water Solutions from source to source
Water is the prime resource essential for survival of human life on earth. All ecosystems and habitats owe their existence to water. Fresh water is available only 2.7% though the surface of the planet earth is geographically covered with more than 70% with water. Sustainable water management in India is fast becoming a necessity with the looming crisis over water resources threatening the security and livelihood of the population and environment.
Water. The Essence of Life
Managing our water resources better – the only solution

SPML has a joint venture with Aqualyng of Norway to offer energy efficient and low life-cycle cost reverse osmosis desalination systems. With Aqualyng's technology, SPML will offer its customers cost effective desalinated water lower than competition. SPML through the JV will take on desalination turnkey projects largely on a BOOT basis to devise and implement customized solutions based on consumption parameters.
Aqualyng's own patented energy-efficiency device – the TMRECUPERATOR allows recycling as much as 98.5% of the
energy involved in the desalination process. In addition to being environment friendly, it has a huge impact on operating costs.

Cured-in-place-Pipe - Trenchless Technology
Sewer Rehabilitation Projects
Cured-in-place Pipe (CIPP) is a trenchless rehabilitation technology developed in 1971 by INSITUFORM providing a joint less, seamless, pipe-within-a-pipe that protects against spills, breaks and pipeline leakage. SPML infra and INSITUFORM joint venture - Insituform Pipeline Rehabilitation Private Limited has revolutionized the sewer rehabilitation process in India. Prior to rehabilitation, jetting cum suction machines and silt loaders are used to remove silt and other obstructions and CCTV surveys are carried out to identify defects and inspections. Robotic controlled cutting device is used to restore service laterals.
SPML has carried out sewer rehabilitation in Delhi Jal Board at Jail Road, West Delhi, Kalkaji covering a maximum length of 7 kms upto 1828mm dia pipes. In addition, New Delhi Municipal Council and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation entrusted their sewer rehabilitation at Ashoka Road and Jangpura respectively.
Advantages• Faster, affordable, reliable & non-
disruptive solutions for sewer pipe rehabilitation
• Significantly reduces infiltration of water through cracks, holes & joint failures
• Restores structural integrity to damaged sewer pipes
• Absence of joints or seams increases flow capacity
• Lengthens the life of existing pipelines by another 50 to 100 years
Often the biggest challenge that municipalities & ULBs face is how to rehabilitate the system. It is not always easy to dig & replace the entire sewerage system without disrupting daily life. Rehabilitation work encounters multiple challenges like reverse gradients, collapsed pipes, hidden manholes and even houses constructed over manholes.

Trenchless Pipe Laying Technology
Trenchless Pipe Laying Process
Trenchless pipe laying technology involving laying of pipeline without making open cut excavation has achieved a degree of importance in utilities specifically for projects beneath railway tracks, waterways or roads as it is faster, causes no impact on residents & traffic and eliminates construction noise.
• An entry pit is excavated upto bed level of the pipe• PCC in bedding and thrust blocks with shoring is
made over which rails are laid• Pipe is kept on the rails and pushed by mechanical
hydraulic jacks after excavating soil from the bore horizontally without disturbing top cushion of pipe
• Boring & pushing are done in small lengthsconsecutively till crossing length is pushed
• Finally the pipe is exposed by exit pit excavation
SPML has been carrying out laying of twin MS pipe line of 156 meters with 2420 mm dia and 20 mm thickness at its Haiderpur-Wazirabad raw water transmission project by trenchless technology using laser guided micro tunneling method. Additionally, a total length of 204 m of MS pipeline is being laid with 2420 mm dia and 20 mm thickness by trenchless technology using Jack pushing method in this project.
Trenchless technology is also being used for sewage transportation at the Preet Vihar sewage pumping station using SDPE pipes of 1200 mm dia in various lengths for a total pipeline length of 7200 m and at Yamuna Vihar with MS pipe of 168 m with 1578 mm dia and 14mm thickness.
Besides, MS trenchless clear water pipes of 1200 mm dia &14 mm thickness of a total length of 240 m and 900 mm dia & 12 mm thickness of a total length of 120 m is being executed at Jal Vihar.
