Outline of Project
• Power Utility(KAHRAMAA) developed
7th and 8th power line projectswith 220kV and 400kV XLPE cables
in the vicinity Doha City.
• Two circuit 220kV line constructionstarted in 2007.
• J-Power Systems (JPS) supplied one circuit 220kV Lineand it was recently commissioned in April 2009.
• 400kV line is under construction by JPS andplaned to be commissioned in May 2010.

FEM analysis in plural soil condition
Bedrock (0.7Km/W)
Normal soil in over layer was assumed dry out ( 2.7K.m/W) whilst
Bedrock was 0.7Km/W. Due to difficulty of cutting trench and
procurement of backfill, trench width was optimized by FEM analysis

JPS has supplied more than 1500pcs of 220kV premolded joints.
Though premolded joint can be tested in factory, previous
experiences showed vital importance of jointing work.
