The Department of Defense (DoD) expanded the Military Lending Act
(MLA) to prevent abusive lending practices for active duty service
members:
Credit cap of 36% now includes: payday loans, deposit advance
products, auto title and installment loans.
Credit cap excludes: residential mortgages, loans secured by property
being purchased.
Military APR modified to include certain fees as part of the calculation
