Rinspeed Interprets thePorsche® 955 Cayenne®
Rinspeed of Switzerland is a design specialist group who for several years has provided“concept car” designs on behalf of leading European car manufacturers. The Rinspeed teamdesigners are known for their smooth fluid design concepts using OEM styling queues yetmoving the design philosophy upwards three to four notches. In other words, design wasfocused on quality styling, not outright radicalism. Rinspeed also has an internal groupfocused on performance development and you will see that performance products are partof the Rinspeed package. Rinspeed decided to produce its own styling concept of components for the Cayenne andhas displayed an exciting design without a radical look. The presented designs in thesepages are considered the “Stage One” program. Look for a slight-ly more aggressive lower front spoiler (valance) incorporat-ing HID Xenon lights as part of the LLTEK “Stage Two”program. Still later there may be a final LLTEK “StageThree” program where a new full front bumperwill be introduced, highlighting a very inter-esting combo Turbo and S look. If your Porsche® Cayenne (or VW®Touareg) was delivered with air suspension, the newand exciting RLMS electronic module can quickly improve both handling and looks. It is a plug-in and plug-out module. The initial installation takes about one hour. Nomechanical work to the suspension is necessary. The unit allows an extra loweringheight of 40mm at the front axle and an extra 30mm to the rear axle. Adjustment incre-ments are plus or minus 20mm. The factory electronic control system such as ride lev-eling switch, diagnostics, PSAM, PTM, PSM are not affected. A supplied plug allows areturn to production settings in about ten minutes. With a lower center of gravity, your car will be better balanced and handling will beimproved … and so will the look of the car.Specifications subject to change.
