Course Description
• Microsoft Office 2007 – Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Word• Social, ethical, and human issues related to technology• Intro to computer technology, Decision-making,
productivity, communications, and problem-solving• Oral and written communication skills and information
research• CTSO affiliated - FBLA (Future Business Leaders of
America)
Expectations

• Follow Directions the first time
• Participate in all class activities
• Create your own work• Bring supplies to
class everyday
• NOT to alter computer settings (i.e. backgrounds)
• NOT to use proxy websites, watch videos or listen to music
• NO food or drinks
Material and Supplies
• Pen or pencil• Notebook paper• Folder with pockets (to be kept in classroom)• NO flash drives (Synergy will be used)
Classroom Procedures
• Entering the classroom– Sit in assigned seat– Check the board and complete the bellringer– Place belongings underneath workstation– **If you are late – please sign the tardy sheet – a parent phone
call will be made and teacher’s detention will be assigned. If you do not attend, you will be assigned principal’s detention.
– You are expected to be in class every day.

• During class– Print only class related material– Will not be allowed to leave classroom for any reason for first 15
and last 15 minutes of class.– Remain seated unless other instructions are given– Raise hand for assistance or questions

• End of Class– Turn in work white tray drawer on table in front of board or (to
folder if work is incomplete)– Log off or turn off computers prior to leaving– Pick up trash around workstation– Push in chairs prior to leaving– The dismissal bell only signals the end of class; the teacher will
dismiss you by saying• “Have a Nice Day”
Grading
• Progress reports are issued each 4 ½ weeks• Final exam counts as 15% of final grade

Makeup Work/Incomplete Assignments• 5 days after absence to complete assignments after
