There are many performances from lots of bands all over Slovakia, and even some of them come here from abroad!!!

Many concerts are situated in summer, because it´s time, when people have much more free time for this kind of fun.

So they can come and it´s always good for band members, if they see how big the audience is. Then they play even much better and enjoy the whole show and this is the best for both sides.

Of course, concerts are not only in summer. Like for example - if there is a concert in winter or the weather is not that good to perform, organizers can change the place every time they need to. So the band, singer or whoever it is, play their show in some buildings, that perfect match with their planning show.

The days of city PrešovOr in Slovak „Dni mesta Prešov“. First week in June we celebrate anniversary of dedication „urban privileges“ to our city every single year and it´s always for free.

This year it was the 710. anniversary. Lots of bands agree to share this special moment with us.

For instance:, Chiki liki tu-a, Heľenine oči, Pražský Výběr II, Komajota etc. There were also some other events we could see.

T-Mobile Music City (2008)Last year we had an opportunity to see such many bands and singers, but we couldn´t be at all of them. There were 3 stages placed in 3 different places in Prešov + 5 clubs. Bands like Heľenine oči, Chiki liki tu-a (again), Nocadeň, David Koller with his band and many more were performed. There were some DJ-s in clubs, but also some others bands (it was for FREE).

Coop Jednota SUMMER TOUR ´08

This event was powered by COOP JEDNOTA and it was tour in Slovakia, in cities like PREŠOV, Banská Bystrica, Liptovský Mikuláš, Nitra and Žilina.

This one was also for free. Show included bands as IMT Smile, Horkýže Slíže and Lavagance (all are from Slovakia).

Rock´s (de)frostingIn Slovak „Rockové (ROZ)mrazenie“. This festival was in winter, somewhen in december last year.

It was very cold to be outside, so it was situated in a building „meststká športová hala“, the biggest one in Prešov.

The program was very attractive. There you had a chance to see Polemic, (again) Helenine oči, Arzén, Hex, Aya and the final (this was the last one) was a big surprise LORDI from Finland (this event was not for free ;-D).

IMT SMILE is band from Prešov formed in 1992 by Ivan and Miro Tásler.

Among young people, they are really popular and they´ve got many well-known songs...

IMT is playing lot of concerts through a year. In the summer they normally play at the festivals, on tours or just in some cubs. In our city you can find them mainly in CITY CLUB. The Club isn´t big, but when they are there, it is always full :D
