Concordia Lutheran High SchoolAnnual Ministry Report | 2017-2018
Dear Friends of Concordia,
As we enter the holiday season, it is a perfect time to tell the many people who have supported Concordia Lutheran High School⎯whether a first time giver or repeating many years⎯“Thank you! You make a significant difference and are a blessing to our school and its ministry.”
The 2017-2018 school year was, again, one in which Concordia was fortunate
to have strong successes in a variety of areas as evidenced in this annual report. The fact that you and others provide support allows our students, faculty, and staff to continue the pursuit of excellence with Christ as our foundation in all that we do.
CLHS was a strong contender for the Henderson Cup award in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 6A, finishing second after
being the overall winner the previous year. This award is based on how well our students finish in TAPPS State competitions for academics, fine arts, and athletics. This finish was better than any other Houston area school, with the most points in Fine Arts and second most in Athletics.
We continue to be blessed in that your financial support for Concordia is not needed to pay for our operating expenses. Instead, you allow us to provide more for our students and the programs they are a part of for the years they are attending CLHS, as well as offering the same opportunities for future students. The gifts we receive from you go directly to support beyond the everyday cost of doing business, something that is not true for many schools needing to raise money to pay the everyday bills.
There were many accomplishments achieved by Concordia this past year and below is a sample of some of that, along with others included within this report:
Concordia again received an accreditation of being an “Excellent” school via our rating through the Lutheran School Accreditation Commission.

Much of what takes place at Concordia is due to your generous support and we warmly thank you for how you help in fulfilling our mission of Building Lives of Excellence upon the Foundation of Christ. Continued blessings to you and your family as we celebrate the holiday season!
