CONCRETE SEALER WB MATT & GLOSS - MULTI SURFACE STAIN RESISTANT SEALER. DESCRIPTION: Cemix®Concrete Sealer Water Based (WB) is a multi-surface stain resistant water based penetrating clear water repellent sealer. It has outstanding adhesion, penetrating and sealing properties on various substrates. It can be successfully applied on to slightly damp but surface dry pavers. The application does not produce any discolouration of the surface and is suitable for waterproofing and sealing a wide variety of absorbent concrete surfaces and not suitable for very dense natural stone, especially marble and granite. TYPICAL APPLICATION/USES: • Protecting penetrating layer for concrete substrates ADVANTAGES: • Water based – does not contain harsh chemicals • Environmentally friendly green product. • Low odour & non-toxic product. • Can be applied on slightly damp but surface dry pavers • Exhibits stain resistance if the stain is removed early • Chemically resistant and non toxic • UV stable – will not go yellow over time SUBSTRATE PREPARATION: Ideally this sealer should be applied on new freshly laid cured concrete. The surfaces should be water blasted and made clean, free from grease, loose particles, dirt, paint, curing compounds etc. Moss or algae growth should be removed with a suitable treatment and washed with clean water. PRECAUTION: Not classified as dangerous goods Cemix® Concrete Sealer WB is non- toxic and non-corrosive. If splashed into the eyes, wash eyes with copious amounts of clean water immediately and seek medical attention. If ingested, drink plenty of water and seek medical attention. It is advisable to wear the appropriate safety equipment when spraying this product – goggles, respirator and gloves. SAFETY: Avoid contact with eyes & skin, both from wet & dry mix. Do not breathe in dust. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, eye protection & barrier cream. Wear a suitable dust mask. Wash thoroughly after handling & store any leftover material properly. APPLICATION: Cemix®Concrete Sealer WB Shake or stir thoroughly before use. Cemix®Concrete Sealer WB should be applied without diluting in two coats to ensure complete coverage and saturation of the paver substrate. Application with conventional spray equipment or roller is the preferred method. Depending on the porousity of the substrate – coverage of 5m 2 /L should be achieved. On high absorbent surfaces, repeat or increase the rate of application until surface is completely saturated. Re-application at a later date is possible provided the substrate is clean. GOLDEN RULE: There is not a sealer suitable for all types of pavers, tiles, or other surfaces. Never apply more product than is being absorbed into the surface you are sealing. If product is pooling on the surface, brush the excess off. If you feel no product or very little product is being absorbed, stop and seek technical assistance. Always do a test area first to approve the look and feel before doing the entire area. Ensure there is no rising damp as this will make the sealer surface cloudy. Over application can make the surface slippery especially when wet.
