  • CLASS L: CONCRETE WORK*Items covered under other classes are:Formwork for concrete roads and paving (include in Class Q: Roads and Paving).Formwork for sleeper (include in Class S: Rail Track).Formwork for fences and gates foundation (include in Class T: Miscellaneous Work).Formwork in manholes for sewerage pipework (include in Class O: Pipework).

  • CLASS L: CONCRETE WORK*Definition RuleD6: Formwork shall be classified according to its angle of inclination as follows:

D7: Formwork for type F1, F2, and F3 finish shall be as defined in the Standard Specification for Road Works as published by JKR.

  • *CONCRETE WORKMeasurement RulesM5: Formwork shall be measured for surfaces of in situ concrete which require temporary support during casting, expect where otherwise stated. M6: Formwork shall not be measured for the following:Edges of binding concrete not exceeding 0.2m wide or deepJoints, associated rebated, and groovesTemporary surfaces formed at the discretion of the contractorSurface of concrete which are expressly required to be cast against an excavated surfaceM7: Formwork to upper surfaces of concrete shall be measured to surfaces inclined at angle exceeding 15 from the horizontal, and to other upper surfaces for which formwork is expressly required.

  • *CONCRETE WORKCoverage RulesC4: Items for formwork shall be deemed to include any temporary staging required. C5: Items for formwork shall be deemed to include the projections and intrusions.

Additional Description RulesA13: Formwork left-in shall be so described in item description for formwork.A14: Formwork adopting the use of travel form system, slipform system and the like shall be stated in item description.

  • *CONCRETE WORKAdditional Description RulesA15: Item description for formwork shall state the required concrete finish as follows:F: rough finishF2: fair finishF3: smooth finishOther stated finishOther surface featuresA16: Item description for formwork to upper surfaces shall be so stated, except where the surfaces are inclined at an angle not exceeding 15 from the horizontal.A 17: Item description for formwork shall state where the formwork is a curve.

Measurement RulesM8 Formwork for the surfaces of voids larger than the upper bound values as defined in Rule D8 shall be measured as set out in this class.M9 No deduction shall be made for formwork to voids smaller than the lower bound values as defined D8.

  • CONCRETE WORKDefinition RulesD8 :The size of voids for I.45* shall be as follows:- Circular(diameter) -> 0.35-0.70m- Other voids(area) -> 0.10-0.50mD9 : The depth of voids shall be measured perpendicularly to the adjacent surface of concrete.D10 :The maximum diameter or cross-section shall be taken when the voids have two unequal diameters or cross sections

  • CONCRETE WORKAdditional Description RulesA18 : Item description for voids shall state the cross-section or diameter, and the depth of voids.
