Remember:You do NOT add the word “would”

before a verb; you simply conjugate the verb using the conditional tense endings and the “would” is implied.

The conditional tense is used whenever you want to express that you “would” do

something. This is typically used with an “if/then” clause. (If...then I would…)

The regular conditional verbs are simple to form because all regular ar/er/ir verbs use the same conjugation pattern &

endings! (This is beginning to sound just like the future tense!

Easy!)

Just leave the verbs in their INFINITIVE form

(unconjugated) and attach these endings:

-ía, -ías, -ía, -íamos, -ían

And yes, there are irregulars…

But they are the same as the future irregulars, so just repeat the stem but put the conditional endings on and you’ve got it!
