III. PERSONAL PROTECTIVEEQUIPMENTRespiratory Protection:
Eyes and Face: Hands,
Arms, Body:
It is not recommended to weld or burn conduit tube.Safety glasses should always be worn when grinding or cutting. Appropriate protective should beworn when grinding or cutting.
Other Clothing/Equipment: As required by local regulations.
IV. EMERGENCYMEDICALPROCEDURESInhalation: Eye Contact:
SkinContact:
Remove to fresh air; if condition continues, consult physician.Immediately flush well with running water to remove particulate; get medicalattention. If irritation develops, remove clothing and wash well with soap and water. If condition persists, seek medical attention. If significant amounts of metal are ingested, seek medical attention.
Ingestion:
V. HEALTH/SAFETY INFORMATIONHEALTHMetal conduit and their associated fittings in the natural state do not present air inhalation, ingestion, or contact health hazards. However, operations such as welding, burning, sawing, brazing, grinding and other processes which elevate the temperature of the product to or above its melting point or result in the generation of airborne particulatesmay present hazards. These operationsshould be performed in well-ventilated areas. The major exposure hazard is inhalation.
Effects ofoverexposure:Acute:
Typicalsymptoms:
Chronic:
Excessive inhalation of metallic fumes and dusts may result in irritation ofeyes, nose and throat. Also
high concentrations of fumes and dusts of iron oxide, manganese, copper, & selenium may result in
metal fume fever.
Consistof a metallictaste in the mouth, dryness and irritation of the throat, chills and fever, and usuallylast from 12 to 48 hours.Chronic and prolonged inhalation of high concentrations of fumes or dust of the following elements may lead to the conditions listed oppositetheelement:

FIRE AND EXPLOSIONMetal conduit and their associated fittings in the natural state do not present a fire or explosion risk. However, ZM Grup Conduit Tube
is designed to protect electrical cables in a rigid and static manner. They must not be used for other purposes eg conveying fluids,
support structures etc. Only cables in good condition should be drawn through conduit tube and the quantity of cables must not
exceed the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) as overloading can result in abrasion of the insulating material, which in extreme cases may
result in the conduit becoming ‘live’ or energised’ Should this occur, the source supplying electrical power must first be properly isolated
before attempting a repairs.
REACTIVITY
Stability Incompatibility Metal conduit is stable and if it comes into contact with strong acids, it may react and form
VI. ENVIRONMENTALMetal conduit is manufactured from steel which is one of the most sustainable of the major structural materials. It has numerous sustainability benefits, which are guaranteed to be realised whenever steel is used. These include low waste, flexibility, offsite manufacture, speed, resource efficiency, adaptability, long lasting appeal, safety, reusability andrecyclability.Spill or leak procedures Use good housekeeping practices to prevent accumulation of dust.Disposal procedures Follow the regulations stipulatedat the international, national, federal and local levels.
