CONFERENCE PROGRAMTeaching for Equity in a
Multilingual World
Regular Price: $31.95 Your Price: $28.75
Bridges are better… It was a dark and stormy night in Santa Barbara. January 18, 2017—one day before the presidential inauguration.
Huddled around a table were nine Corwin authors and their publisher, who together have devoted their careers to equity in education.
They couldn’t change the weather, they couldn’t heal a fractured country, but they did have the power to put their collective wisdom about EL education upon the page to ensure our multilingual learners reach their highest potential.
Proudly, we introduce you now to the fruit of that effort: Breaking Down the Wall: Essential Shifts for English Learners’ Success.

AnnualConference
Dear Conference Participants,
Welcome to our seventh WIDA Annual Conference in beautiful Providence, Rhode Island! Our theme this year, “Teaching for Equity in a Multilingual World,” speaks to the commitment we share for ensuring all our students have equitable opportunities to succeed. Over the next few days, I encourage you to engage with your colleagues, share ideas, listen to new ones, and take in all the enthusiasm that has made this event the rich experience it has become.
Next year’s event, “Multilingualism for the Future,” will be held in the Mile High City of Denver, Colorado from October 26-29, 2020. Please consider joining us again, either as a participant or a presenter!
Finally, thank you for making your work with multilingual students a priority every day and for taking time to grow with us.
