SHORT COURSES November 11-13, 1980: Introduction to Cereal Chemistry and Technology The course is designed for the person working in cereal processing and related industries who has not had formal training in cereal chemistry and technology. The purpose of the course is to provide an overview of the unique properties of cereal grains and their major constituents, as well as of the relationship between the chemical nature of cereal materials and their functionality in manufacturing and storage of cereal based foods. November 17-21, 1980: Plant Milk and Cream Graders' Course The purpose ofthis course is to qualify dairy plant personnel for grading and receiving tanker loads of milk or cream delivered to the plant. Tuition fee - $50.00. November 24-28,1980: Composition and Package Fill Con- trol in Fluid Milk Products This course is designed to train market plant personnel in the technical details required to control the composition and level of package fill to within legal standards, and to mini- mize economic losses. Tuition fee - $90.00 (includes calculator). January 5-16, 1981: Ice Cream Course The course is offered for those interested in the manufacture of ice cream and related products.
