Configuration of Symantec PGP Desktop Email
With Microsoft Outlook 2007 for Sending CTR/STR to CAFIU
1. Install PGP Desktop
Double click on setup file “PGPDesktopWin32-10.2.1MP3.exe” (for Win32 bit) Or
PGPDesktopWin64-10.2.1MP3.exe (for Win 64)
Select a Language and click OK
Choose “I accept the license agreement” and click Next
Click Next
Click Yes to restart your system configuration changes made to PGP Desktop to take effect
2 Create PGP Key
Open PGP Desktop
Click File New PGP Key…
Click Next
Enter your Full Name and Email Click Next
Enter Passphrase Click Next
Click Next
Click Skip
Your PGP Key has been created successfully
3 Import Key
Open PGP Desktop
Click File Import
Choose key file (e.g. CAFIU Public Key “cafiu_public.asc”) Click Open
Click Import
CAFIU Public Key has been imported successfully
Right click on CAFIU Key Click Sign
Click OK
Click OK
CAFIU Public Key has been signed
4 Enable PGP encrypt and sign buttons in Outlook
Open PGP Desktop
Click Tools Options…
Click Message Tab Check Secure Email Check Enable PGP encrypt and sign buttons in Outlook
Click button “Proxy Options…”
Choose Automatic (Recommended) Click OK
Click OK Restart PGP Desktop and Open Ms. Outlook 2007
After restart of PGP Desktop, the background of a PGP New Service Assistant will be displayed as above
Choose “Yes, secure this email account” to enable PGP to process email account of PGP Key in a secure
manner
Choose PGP Desktop Key
Select PGP Key Click Next
Click Finish
Enter your passphrase Click OK
A service of PGP Messaging has been created as above Restart PGP Desktop and Ms. Outlook 2007
5 Send encrypted and singed email in Ms. Outlook 2007
Open Ms. Outlook 2007 Click button “New” to create new email message
Complete the email Click button Sign and Encrypt Click Send
An alert message of PGP Outgoing Email will be displayed as above to confirm that your email has been sent securely
to all recipients
