MELDING THEORY WITH PRACTICEOur curriculum has been developed to teach stu-dents the necessary skills needed to become pro-ficient practitioners. We expect our students to ob-tain 10 credit hours of skills training during their time in law school. Our skills courses are designed to provide students with the professional skills needed to practice the law. A vital component of skills training is hands on practice experience. ONU Law’s 7 outstanding clinical placement pro-grams allow students the opportunity to delve into the field and get the experience that will help set them apart after graduation. It provides them with the knowledge and expertise for which our gradu-ates and alumni are known. ONU Law has provided clinical education opportunities for students for over 40 years and we continue to be on the fore-front of experiential education.

Ada, Ohio is the ideal place in which to study law. Its rural location al-lows for few distractions, yet its central location allows for easy access to more than 10 major U.S. cities, all within easy driving distance. (Co-lumbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Toledo, Chicago, Indianapolis, Ft. Wayne, Detroit, and Louisville, among others) Ada’s quaint and small town college feel allows students to become easily acclimated to the area, letting them spend the necessary time focusing on their studies.

Further, the substance of the classes offered is in-tended to teach the basic foundations of the law, along with current emerging issues today. There are seminars and skills classes offered to allow a student to choose particular subjects that are either of interest to them, or will best prepare them for practice.
Ohio Northern engages its students in a rigorous academic curriculum, dedicated to creating analytical thinkers who will grow into successful lawyers. Small class sizes enrich the educational experience and allow professors to bring the curriculum alive for students. Ohio Northern University and the Village of Ada offer many housing options for students. Two on-campus apartment com-plexes are available for law and graduate students looking for the convenience of campus living.
The Village of Ada provides inexpensive off-campus housing and a low cost of living far below national averages. Monthly rental fees can range from $300- $650 depending on décor, location, and if the student is living alone or with a roommate. Many rental locations are within walking distance to the Col-lege of Law, restaurants, and other shops along Main Street Ada.
