1. Find A Successful Mentor One of the biggest keys to success in business and in life is finding a good, successful mentor and doing exactly what they did to become successful. You really don't have to start from scratch and learn everything on your own. You can avoid a lot of pain if you just duplicate exactly what your mentor did. If you learn from people who are successful, and you do exactly what they've done, you'll get the same or at least, similar results.

I’m sure you’ve been told many things in your life that just didn’t pan out, and many of those ideas came from people who are not successful. It’s easy to listen to someone older than you and believe most of what they say because they are older and have more experience.

The truth is; “Opinions are like ____holes. Everyone has one. It doesn’t mean every opinion is correct and when you’re trying to decide if a business is right for you or not, the only opinion that should matter is yours, with an assist from your mentor.

If we listen to those who have opinions based in half-truths, rumors, or no truth at all, we will follow that ‘Mentor’ over the cliff, and I’ve seen it happen for years.

2. Follow A Proven System

You may have tried to start your own business in the past and didn't find the success you desired. Maybe it wasn't totally your fault. It may have been the system you employed.

For ex: If you buy a McDonald's franchise, what do you get? Besides enormous debt, you get a "System". You get the ovens, grills, fryers, lighted menus, etc. When you walk into a McDonald's where are the French fry fryers? On the left just over the counter, correct? And they are all the same world wide.

It's a cookie cutter system. In our industry, we also have a cookie cutter system. The problem here is you don’t have a boss so the Cutter Cutter System is easy to follow, and it's easy to NOT Follow as well. No matter what business you decide to join, YOU have to be the “X” factor. The system works if you work.

It's not just about employing the system, it's understanding "Why" you are employing this particular system.

We don’t do MLM’s. As discussed, that industry hurts too many people and it just doesn’t offer the right strategies for the little guy to be successful, no matter who the mentor is..

3. It’s Anything BUT Sales

If you think network marketing is about sales, this will be your first huge error in trying to build your business. You must change your way of thinking which will help you understand the most important discipline in this industry.

Understanding the "Art of Duplication". Even if you're great at something, like making web pages, if a newbie or someone who has never tried network marketing can't do it - STOP! If the average person can't do it, you'll never create growth and in fact may become a one person show. Exactly what you don't want!

Without “duplication”, you might as well just go get a job in sales and commission. Sales is sales and most other forms of business don’t even offer duplication. Duplication is the key to everything in the home business space. Even if you are a “Top Recruiter” in your opportunity, it doesn’t mean much if others aren’t willing to build their own teams for themselves and with you.

As you guessed, without your team recruiting on a serious and regular basis, there is no passive, residual income for anyone.

Duplication is the KEY to generating massive checks that recur single every month.

The “No Duplication” Blues You’ve may have experienced this before. You work to build your team... Rep by rep ... hoping that they each will be at least as good are you, and build their own team, just as you’re building yours. In a perfect scenario, this type of “duplication” of your efforts could generate serious income for you within a relatively short period of time.

However, the 80/20 Rule tends to raise its ugly head. In fact, what usually happens is that most of your team does little or nothing once they sign up. We call this the 80/20 Rule, and it’s not just reserved for the home business space. It’s true in all industries and businesses.

Take 10 Drs., 10 Lawyers, 10 Cab Drivers, 10 Waiters, or 10 Realtors... Two will shine and 8 just don’t do much. It’s a rule that seems prevalent all over the world and you just can’t break it, you can’t change it in its current state.

This is the Rule that most leaders don’t even understand.

You might find it odd that people who yesterday were chomping at the bit to join your team are now avoiding you at all costs, afraid you’ll ask them to “do something” to build their own income. Strange isn’t it? Most so-called leaders don’t even understand what they’re in so they pressure their team members. It’s silly!

Fortunately, there is a solution.

And in this book, I’m going to cover how to create real duplication on your team. “Duplication” is important to facilitate, because that’s really the secret behind generating momentum in your Home Business - and creating a true residual income.

There is a solution to the 80/20 Rule Problem.

But before we go over that part, let’s dig deeper…

The ONE thing you don’t stop doing is recruiting new team members.

NEW team members is the life-blood of your organization and must be the #1 thing you teach your team. No one should rest until they are earning $5,000 a month in residuals. The additional bonuses with get them close to $8,000/month.

Constant and never-ending enrolling is the key to building up a larger organization. While duplication can help you create momentum and leverage the efforts of others, there’s never a time when you should stop enrolling new people. It’s not time yet to rely on others. You have a lot more work to do.

As you maintain your enrolling efforts things will begin to change.

This is where the 80/20 Rule is brought to the forefront. You’ll soon realize that you are the 20%’er and most of your team members are 80%’ers. However, as you enroll more team members - and create an environment that promotes “duplication”, you’ll notice that your team is now generating 80% of the people in your organization - while you’re responsible for 20% or even less. How long does this take? It depends on you. It’s a follow the leader sport. If you continue to enroll new people, so will your team and you’ll see what we call “The 80/20 Switch” happen quickly.

The 80/20 Switch is what you’re after, and you want this to happen now.

For years we were on the wrong side of the 80/20 Rule. Then, in an instant, we saw the switch. It was a combination of leading by example and finding a few people who had experienced the ‘switch’ before and knew exactly what to do. What did they do? They started enrolling with a vengeance and didn’t stop. They are still enrolling people on a regular basis today. Our team went from 167 people with our efforts alone to over 3,000 people in a matter of a few months, with the efforts of a few people who knew what duplication really meant.

At the very beginning, it will be you alone, then, WATCH OUT!.

Today, most of the people brought onto our team are enrolled by our downline. That’s where I want to get you to. However, that means YOU still must start off by becoming your #1 enroller. There’s no “shortcut” to this. You become your #1 enroller... build your own downline... and then teach others how to do the same thing.

4. How-To Stop The Attrition Many people think that network marketing is about "just" recruiting so they push the "make money" concept in their dealings with others. When those people don't make money fast enough, they are heading through the proverbial revolving door.

The way to "Stop Attrition" is to create a "Loyal Customer Base" so people will stay on the product even if there is NOT an income attached to it. If they fall in love with the product or service they will stay with it and make it a regular part of their lives, and that's when you create Passive Income.

How do you do this? Simple!

Model the Behavior You Want Your Team to Duplicate

It ALL begins with you. It’s a cookie cutter business, right? Lead the way! If you want your team to place display ads in the business opportunity, home business, and network marketing magazines, that‘s what you should be doing before you expect it from your group. If you want them to do a direct mail campaign with postcards or sales letters, you need to do that before you expect that of your enrollees. Your team wants to see you “walk the walk”, not just “talk the talk”. If you expect them to take action, you must be the first person to set an example for them.

5. Getting Leverage and Residual Income I spent most of my adult life as a waiter and as a waiter, I made what I thought was good money. Always in top end restaurants, $300-$400 per night was common. Once the tax laws changed to penalize tipped employees back in the early 90's, I began to realize this income was fleeting. All the great restaurants became pooled houses. Meaning everyone shares equally in the tips. Yes, socialism hit the restaurants. I was the best and brought in the most tips, but the slouch hanging out in the back, made the same money. Fair?

If I went skiing for a few days or took a few days off to do a little sailing, my income stopped. The one smart thing I did was collect thousands of business cards and call those people to ask them what they did to be able to afford eating in these fine establishments.

They had the same things in common. They all made money on the efforts of others to create income that didn't just depend on their efforts alone. That concept got me very enthusiastic about finding the secret to doing what they did. I followed a very good mentor (Robert) until I could mentor others myself.

The concept we are all taught in school is to; Get a good education Find a good job Stay there for life It’s just not like that anymore. My father did it and retired broke.

Today, with technology, working for one company is a thing of the past. Many people switch jobs 5-10 times within a single career.

In today’s world, it’s about leveraging yourself. The best leverage we have ever found is in the home based business model we’ve chosen.

Instead of trading time for money, which means, work 12 hours, get paid 12 hours, you can put yourself in a position to be paid on thousands of hours a month if you just use this workbook and apply the principles we are teaching you here.

With just 50 people on your team you could be earning a full weeks pay in hours, and never have to deal with the headaches of a boss, office politics, getting ahead at someone else’s expense, or being stuck at the same wage for years.

Here, you can really take control of your life. I know it seems like a daunting task as you read this, but you’re very close, and you don’t even know it.

6. Now, Share Your Wealth Strategies

One of the most important strategies of a successful networker is going the extra mile to make sure your new team member gets a check as soon as possible.

It's more important that the next check the company issues goes to your new member before you get your next check. If your new team member sees what you will do for them, they will do that same thing for others they bring in. This is true duplication and this is where you create the residual income you truly desire. If you're a greedy person, this industry may not be for you. You have to give before you can have. It's just the nature of the beast, so to speak.

As an example of what we do for our team;

We love Direct Mail and use Postcard Campaigns a few times a month. Rather than charge the new team member for the Postcards, mailing list, and postage, we only charge them for the postage. It’s important they put some skin in the game if we’re going to do any paid Advertising, but we want them to know that we’re going to get them off to good start by helping them.

They don’t have to buy an expensive desktop publisher like Photoshop They will not have to design a Postcard They won’t have to struggle to find a good place for mailing peel & sticks

7. Regenerate Your Mind

“If what you believed isn’t so, when would you want to know?” R. Hollis In other words, “If what you believed wasn’t true, when would you want to know the truth?”

“You are what you think.” If you're following the news and continue to look at all the things that could take you out of a positive mindset, it will be more difficult to attract those you want to attract. You attract who you are, not who you want!

When I was younger I believed that a good job and saving money would take care of me and my family for the rest of our lives. Yes, I was naive and I admit it. I don’t believe that anymore. Once I understood residual income and leverage, my thinking completely changed. What are some of the things you used to believe, that you no longer believe? As entrepreneurs we embrace change, and now so can you. Question everything. What is the truth? Find it in all walks of your life. Financial, spiritual, emotional, in relationships. Once you live the truth, it feels like a huge weight has been taken off your shoulders. Many say your IQ rises when you live the truth.

Spend 20-30 minutes a day in meditation or personal development and you will attract those you want to attract.
