Book FairThank you to everyone that attended and supported our Book Fair on the 20th
March. Together we managed to raise a total of $1,174 which gives the school
$293.50 in Scholastic rewards to purchase books. Congratulations to our winners
Radha, Cherry & Levi who each received a book worth $20.00 in our lucky door
prizes.
Congratulations TajCongratulations to Taj Hextall who has been selected to represent Grafton at the
MNC Zone PSSA Rugby League Trials. Taj will travel to Co�s Harbour next
Thursday 4 April 2019 as a member of the Grafton Regional Team. We wish him all
the very best.
Year 2-3-4 Swimming DayThe weather did not dampen the spirits of our 2-3-4 Class who had a fabulous
time at the Solitary Island Resort on Wednesday. Thank you to Mrs Smith, Fran,
Gemma and our parent helpers, Taro and Clyde. The students traveled in luxury
in the new Wooli Hotel Motel Courtesy Bus. Thank you to the Solitary Island
Resort and the Wooli Hotel Motel for your continued support and generous use of
your facilities.
Reminder - Curriculum Fees DueEarlier in the term invoices were sent home to all families detailing our Curriculum Fees for 2019. The base fee per child
is $40 for the �rst two children and $20 for any addition siblings. This fee covers textbooks and student resources. We
ask that payment be made by the 17th May 2019. Payments can be made in instalments. If you are having di�culty making
this commitment, please contact the school.
Pool Party at the Solitary Island Resort 5 April 20194-8pmOur P & C has organised a Pool Party as a social fundraiser at the Solitary Island
Resort on Friday 5 April 2019 from 4 till 8pm. Notes were sent home earlier this
week to all families. the cost of entry is $5 per person or $20 per family (up to 2
Adults & 3 kids) Volunteers are free (must register). There will be a sausage
sizzle as well and all money raised will go to the P & C to support our school
activities during the year.
This is a great opportunity for families to experience a great social afternoon. If
you would like to attend, please �ll in the form and return it to school with you
payment.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. This is an alcohol free event. No
glass is allowed in the pool area.

Fundrasing for Westpac Life Saver RescueHelicopterThis year Mrs Brodin has swapped her bike for a kayak to fund raise for the
Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter. She will take part in the Hell on Water
event over 4 days from 25-28 April 2019. Participants will paddle from Grafton to
Iluka, averaging 20km a day. They will stop at Ulmarra, Lawrence, Harwood then
�nally Iluka. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause you can purchase
tickets or making a donation at the school o�ce. thank you for your support.
First prize in the ra�e is a 2.8m Pro Fisher Dragon Kayak valued at $699, Second
prize is $100 Caltex Fuel Voucher and Third prize is a Helirescue Merchandise
Pack. The Ra�e will be drawn on Sunday 28 April 2019 in Iluka.
