Dear Friends,

LastSunday,April22nd,severalmembersofourParish,whoarepreparingtoreceivetheSacramentofConfirmationon Thursday, May 10th, participated in our Parish’s annual “Living Saints Museum”. For our parishioners and friends who were able to join us in our Parish Center last Sunday, they were both entertained and educated by our young parishioners who told a briefstoryofthesaintwhosenametheyhavechosenfortheirConfirmationname.Eachofouryoungpeoplewhopresentedtheirpatronsaints’lifedidagreatjobinbringingtheirpatronsaint‘alive’. The free will offering that was accepted from those who joined us at our “Living Saints Museum” will be sent to Mary’s Cupboard–awonderfulorganizationthathelpsthelessfortunaterighthereinourarea. ManythankstoBarbaraNuzzolo,ourParishDirectorofReligiousEducation,ourdedicatedP.R.E.P.faculty,aswellasthe parents of our young ‘saints’ who helped them organize such a delightful presentation! The Archdiocese of Philadelphia recognizes milestones in the years of service that the catechists acquire while serving in the PREPprogram.Iwouldliketorecognizealltheteacherswhode-votetheirtimeandtalentstothisvitalparishprogram.Theyareagroup of catechists who assist the parents in bringing the Gospel message to thestudentsand/orwitnessing theirfaithbyassistingandsupporting theprogramwhereverneeded.WeareagroupofadultswhofeelthatthePREPprogramisanessentialcomponentof thecommunityhereatSt.JohntheEvangelistParish.Thelistwill indicate the number of years that the catechist is involved in thisparishministry.ItisalonglistbuteachnamehereisaspecialadditiontoourPREPprogram.
