ASSOCIATE MEMBER – ELIGIBILITY and RESTRICTIONS There still seems to be some misunderstandings about a relatively new shul classification- associate member. Three years ago, the Board of Directors created this membership classification which is open only to those people who spend less than 30 cumulative days in a calendar year in Century Village. The dues and maintenance allocations are only 50% of that of full members. Associate Members will have the exact same rights and privileges as full members, except they will not have voting rights in shul elections and will not receive the membership discount for high-holiday seats. Yes, they will be in the phone book. Yes, they will get kibbudim in shul. Yes, they will get the discount card. Yes to all other benefits except the two that are mentioned above.
SPECIAL MEMBERSHIP OFFER FOR NON-MEMBERS If you join the shul now, the dues will be effective until September of 2020. That means you will get almost one and a half years of membership for only one year’s dues. This offer is open to everybody who uses the shul — full-time residents, seasonals, and even those who stay in the village for less than 30 days a year. Please contact the office for more details, and a membership application.
