The “All Hands on Deck” $3.2 million capital campaign to eliminate the debt on the Family Life Center, to remodel Bethel Hall and the kitchen, to expand our storage areas and to create a new fund for the missions beyond our walls is well underway! We are grateful that less than $202,000 remains to pay off our bank loan, plus our commitment to missions. Donations may be made online by using the “GIVE” tab at www.naz.org or by writing “All Hands on Deck” in the subject line of your check. Take a look at the banner near Naz Next Steps in Fellowship Hall to follow the progress we are making toward reaching our goal! Now is the time to be sure we finish strong! Celebrations The Senior Fall Elderversity three-day retreat is set for September 10 - 12 at Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camp in Milford, Iowa. The featured speaker will be Dave Welter, who will be giving four inspirational talks centered on the adventure he faced battling cancer and how he used God's Word as a guiding light. The camp will also include great food, fun and relaxation! Check out the brochures at the Naz Next Step counter, and invite a friend! Registration should be completed online at http://www.okoboji.org/elderversity or by mailing in the brochure registration form. Rides will be given from Nazareth! For more information or to request a ride, please contact Pastor Denny at 319-266-7589. anniversary of Christian Crusaders and in appreciation

to Nazareth for your longtime support of this ministry.

Our deepest sympathy to Juanita Blaser and her

family and friends as they mourn the death of her

husband, Eugene.

Communion: Throughout the fall, we plan to offer

communion exclusively through intinction on the first

Sunday of each month and through intinction and

individual cup on the fourth Sunday of each month.

This morning, we invite you to take your time and come

forward to receive the blessing of communion. During

these coming months, our Nazareth staff, Worship and

Music Committee, and volunteers hope to develop a

better understanding of our best practices around

communion distribution, knowing it is one of the most

meaningful sacraments we share as a congregation.

Make Music With Us! The Nazareth Choir

and Carillon Ringers will resume rehearsals on

Wednesday, September 5. Bell rehearsals are

from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. in Room 207, and Choir

rehearsals are from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the

Kits and Quilts will meet in the Underground on

Tuesday, September 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

CHAOS (for junior high students) begins this

Wednesday, September 5, at 6:30 p.m. Parents,

please go to www.cedarvalleystudents.org to register

your student. Students should enter at Door #6.

Wednesday, September 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Orchard Hill

The Thursday Noon Fellowship Luncheon menu for

this Thursday, September 6, is chicken cordon bleu,

green beans, mashed potatoes, roll and dessert.

BASIC (college-age community) will meet this

Thursday, September 6, in Lang Hall on the UNI

campus at 8:00 p.m.

The Wednesday Evening Meal, WOW and JUMP56

will resume on Wednesday, September 12. The meal

will be served from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. WOW and

JUMP56 will meet from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m.

Kick-Off Sunday

Next Sunday is Kick-Off Sunday!

KidzRock and Confirmation classes will

meet for the first time this fall. Parents,

please take a moment to register your

children for these classes at www.naz.org.

KidzRock parents will need to check in

their children each week using the kiosks

in Fellowship Hall and/or near Door #6.

Please note that if you plan to attend the

9:00 a.m. worship service, you should

check in prior to heading into the worship

center. Children will be dismissed from the

service after the Children’s Sermon to their

leaders waiting for them in Fellowship Hall.

Confirmation students will need to check in

at their classrooms by 9:30 a.m.

Confirmation and KidzRock run from 9:30

to 10:30 a.m.

Sundays with Student Ministry will meet

next Sunday, September 9, in Fellowship

Hall between the services. All high school

and college students are invited to stop by

to enjoy donuts, juice and a time to

connect with others!
