Program The Lead Poisoning Prevention and Control Program (LPPCP) operates in concert with the Environmental Practitioner Licensure Unit in the Department of Public Health (DPH). The major goal is to eliminate confirmed elevated blood lead levels (>10μg/dL) in children less than 6 years of age in Connecticut by the year 2010. The underlying objective is to protect the health and safety of the people of Connecticut and to prevent lead poisoning and promote wellness through education and a wide range of lead poisoning prevention activities. These activities include: (1) monitoring environmental lead related health hazards, (2) regulating lead hazard identification, abatement and remediation contractors and activities, and the practitioners who provide lead consultant and lead abatement services, (3) providing testing and monitoring support in concert with the state laboratory, (4) collecting and analyzing environmental health data related to lead exposure, (5) developing lead poisoning prevention policies, laws, regulations and strategies, (6) maintaining a statewide lead surveillance data system, (7) providing case management, investigation oversight, and associated services for children ages 6 months through 6 years (in support of local health departments), and (8) providing community and professional outreach and educational services.

Greeting Cards with bracelets
This recall involves Papyrus brand children's greeting cards sold with an attached wooden bead bracelet. The front of the card says "Happy Birthday To You" and includes an attached bead in the shape of a heart with the word "smile" printed on it. The colorful bracelet includes wooden beads with one in the shape of a butterfly. The back of the greeting card reads, "BD 63401 | © Jean Card & Gift Company" and the card insert reads, "USA $6.95 | CAN $10.50 | Made in China | © Jean Card & Gift Company" and includes UPC number 734524634013 in the lower right hand corner.

This recall involves charms sold with the Tiny Tink and Friends toy jewelry sets. The charm is attached to a cord using a metal ring and cylinder and included with the sets as a separate accessory that children can attach to the toy necklace, bracelet or key chain. This recall involves the Carolina Function Generator Kits that are mathematical function teaching aids. The kit consists of a yellow plastic lid, leg stands, base and whiteboard cards. The hockey and goalie sticks, shafts and blades come in various shapes, sizes and colors. The name "Bauer" and the model descriptions are on all of the sticks, shafts and blades. Most of the sticks also have the Nike symbol. Junior player sticks and replacement shafts are each identified by the markings "JUNIOR," "52 Flex" or "JUNIOR Flex 52." Youth player sticks are identified by the marking "YOUTH Flex 42" or "YTH Flex 42." These markings appear on all models on the narrow side of the
stick shaft either near the top of the stick or near the blade. Junior replacement blades fit only the Junior sticks and are identified by the markings "P92" or "PM9" followed by "JR", which appear on the narrow side of the blade near where the shaft and blade are joined. Junior goal sticks are identified by the markings "P31 ‐ JR ‐ 22 ½" or "P31 JUNIOR ‐ FLEX 52 ‐ 22 ½" which appear on the narrow side of the stick shaft near the top of the stick.

Boys’ and girls’ belts
This recall involves two types of belts: The Cherokee boys’ belts and Circo girls’ belts. The Cherokee belts are black and brown reversible belts with heavy stitching in sizes M‐XL. The belts came in a pack of two with the numbers 202/08/0018, 202/08/0019 or 202/08/0020 embossed on the belt. The girls’ Circo belts are pink and white with heart buckles in sizes XS‐L. They were sold in a 2‐pack with the numbers 202/05/0071, 202/05/0072, 202/05/0073 or 202/05/0074 listed on the product label attached to the inside of the belt.

This recall involves children’s coin purses with rainbow stripes and children’s earrings and necklaces that have blue, pink, red, white and yellow colored droplets. “The Coin Purse” and “Mobile Case Coin Puase” are printed on the tag attached to the purse. “Colorful Drop Accessory Bracelet” is printed on the front of the necklace packages and “Colorful Drop Accessory Pierce” is printed on the front of the earring packages. “S T U F F” and Paw Wall Hooks
The wall hook sets were sold in three models: model numbers 74641 and 74642, constructed of five separate wooden letters spelling out the word “S T U F F” and model number 65262 consisting of four separate, different colored wooden paws. Model number 74641 has a Purple S, a Red T, an Orange U, a Green F and a Pink F. Model number 74642 has an Olive S, a Blue T, a Yellow U, a White‐striped F, and a Blue F. Attached to each letter is a painted metal coat hook with a painted wooden ball at the end. Each letter is approximately 4 inches long, 3/4 inches wide and 9 ¾ inches tall. Model number 65262 has four separate paw‐shaped wooden pieces of different colors ‐‐ red, blue, green and pink. Attached to each paw is a wooden peg with a wooden ball at the end. The “S T U F F” wall hook sets have a label on the back of the letter “S” that includes the models 74641 or 74642. The Paw wall hook sets have the model number 65262 on the outside of the box.

Ceramic piggy and lion banks
The recalled piggy bank is shaped like a pig and the body of the piggy bank is painted yellow with floral designs. The ceramic lion bank is shaped like a lion and is painted yellow with a brown mane. The banks measure about 4 inches in length, 2.5 inches in width, and 3.5 inches in height. Only yellow banks with black plastic stoppers in the bottoms of the banks are being recalled. Banks with white or translucent stoppers are not being recalled.
