Message from Diana Williams, CEO

Jen Svejda and Ijust celebrated our3rd anniversarywith the WoodlandHills~TarzanaChamber of

Commerce. This has been much morethan a job. It is fulfilling the need forcommunity that sometimes gets lostliving in a big city.

Sense of community is what I haveknown my whole life. Small townsmake it a point to shop and supportlocally. That is, if the service you needis available locally. It was our friendsand neighbors we would ask to refer uswhen we needed to go out of our com-munity to find things that were notavailable to us locally. The reason itwas so important to us to shop and sup-port locally is because those businessowners were our friends and neighbors. That’s what the community of theWoodland Hills~Tarzana Chamber is to

me. It is extended community and insome cases, family. My hometown Facebook page isdelightful. They post the city ordi-nances reminders and post about sup-porting one another. They paint thedugouts, pull the weeds and would bemore than slightly embarrassed if theywere caught littering.

So for three years, our staff goal hasbeen to get you busy. Every one ofyour businesses, large or small, havebeen part of our commitment.

We have reminded you to support eachother and to use the directory as yourfirst source for all your needs. OurConnection Circles are deepening thatconviction. These circles remind usthat our community allows us to referto our extended community. Leads andreferrals should be top of mind. Beproud to recommend a fellow chambermember.

Thank you for a wonderful 3 years andhere’s looking to many years to comewith this wonderful community. g
