Education Pg.73 “In the teacher sent from God, heaven gave to men its best and greatest. He who had stood in the councils of the most high, who had dwelt in the innermost sanctuary of the eternal, was the one chosen to reveal in person to humanity the knowledge of God…Through Christ had been committed every ray of divine light that had ever reached our fallen world. It was he who had spoken through everyone that throughout the ages that declared God’s word to man…To reveal this ideal as the only true standard for attainment;…for this, Christ came to this world.”

1.To be one’s “IDEAL” means: “To exalt such a one as an idea of perfection. The archetype{original model or type from

which other things are patterned}. The criterion{a standard, rule or test}. The example, The Model, The only pattern. The quintessential{being the most typical}. Supreme.” Bk. Collins Dictionary + Thesaurus, Free Dictionary.com

2. Jesus is presented in scripture as humanity’s ideal sacrifice for the sin of humanity in Yhwh’s view, because it is Yhwh who provided him: Jn.1:29, 35, 36 “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” [35] “Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;[36]And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!”

Heb. 9:26, 28 “For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself…[28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

3. Jesus is to be considered because of his purpose of becoming human, his knowledge influencing sacrifice for humanity: Jn.3:14,15 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of man be lifted up.[15]That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.”

Jn. 12:32,33 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.[33]This he said, signifying what death he should die.1Pet.1:18,19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;[19]But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

Isa.53:10,11 “Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.[11]He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.”

4. Jesus is to be considered because he made the way possible for humanity to experience perfection through his exemplary earthly life: Heb.2:14-18 “Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that hath the power of death, that is, the devil;

Page 10: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

[15]And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.[16]For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but took on him the seed of Abraham.[17]Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.[18]For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.”

Heb.12:1-3 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,[2]Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.[3]For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest you be wearied and faint in your minds.”

Page 12: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

1Pet.2:21-23 “For even hereunto were you called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow his steps:[22]Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:[23]Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”

Page 13: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

Gal.1:3,4 “Grace be unto you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ.[4]Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:”

Page 14: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

5. Jesus is to be considered because he is Yhwh’s wisdom to all who accepts him: 1Cor.1:24,30 “But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God…[30]But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

Page 15: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

6. Jesus is to be considered because he is Yhwh in word, Yhwh’s glory, Yhwh himself:Jn.1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”Jn.17:5 “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”Mic.5:2 “But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting.”

Page 16: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

7. Jesus is to be considered because salvation can come through no other deity:Jn.14:6 “Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Acts.4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”Acts.13:26 “Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.”

Page 17: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

8. Jesus is to be considered because to him is given the responsibility of the judgment of humanity:Jn.5:21-24 “For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.[22]For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:[23]That all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.”

Page 18: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

Jn.5:24,30 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life…[30]I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which sent me.”Mt.25:31,32 “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:[32]And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep form the goats:”

Page 19: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

2Cor.5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, weather it be good or bad.”1Jn.4:17 “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”

Page 20: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

9.Therefore we can truly consider Jesus our IDEAL by Idolizing, Deifying, Exalting, Attributes of the Lord:Acts.17:23-31 “For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an alter with the inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore you ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.[24] God hath made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;[25] Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

Page 21: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

[26]And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitations;[27]That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far form every one of us:[28]For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring…

Page 22: Consider jesus humanity's ideal  -{05 07-2011}

[29]For as much then as we are the offspring of God, we aught not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.[30]And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:[31]Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”

Bible Commentary Bk.7. pg.970 “We are to copy no human being. There is no human being wise enough to be our criterion. We are to look to the man Christ Jesus, who is complete in the perfection of righteousness and holiness. He is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the pattern man. His experience is the measure of the experience that we are to gain. His character is our model. Let us, then, take our minds off the perplexities and difficulties of this life, and fix them on him, that by beholding we may be changed into his likeness. We may behold Christ to good purpose. We may safely look to him; for he is all-wise. As we look to him and think of him he will be formed within, the hope of glory.”
