Construction of the front cover for my music magazine

1) Once opening Photoshop, I started by adding in the main image and masthead on the page.

2)I then placed the image in front of the masthead because this is a convention used in real media products and I thought it would make my music magazine look more realistic. I used the “magic wand” tool to do this.

3) I then added my main cover line and a header going across the top of the page.

4) Next, I added the other coverlines and information such as the date, issue number and price. I also added a barcode and a flasher.

5) I then added the finishing touches and more coverlines. This is a print screen shot of the finished product.
