BESSIE COLEMAN WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT
Scope of Work:Replacement of approximately 5,000 lfof water main along Bessie Coleman, a connection to the existing 12” service line adjacent to the E Lot ATS Station, and abandoning the existing water main running underneath I-190. Other work items will include: lateral runs to fire hydrants, isolation valves, valve boxes, fire hydrants, cathodic protection and other pertinent items integral to the installation of a new water distribution and/or capping and connections to the existing water main.

NORTH AIRFIELD SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT
Scope of Work:Construction of a sanitary sewer system that will serve the North Airfield buildings. Existing flow that travels NW to the MWRD Kirie Plant will be intercepted and sent to an existing forcemain sewer on airport property near Building 850. That existing pipe outfalls near Mannheim Road where it enters the MWRD Stickney system. A new lift station will be included as well as approximately 6400LF of gravity pipe and forcemain.

RUNWAY 9R-27L RWSL INSTALLATION
Scope of Work:Install approximately 10,000 linear feet of electrical ductbank, handholes, and airfield lighting cable to complete the installation of the FAA Runway Status Lights (RWSL) system for Runway 9R-27L. A FAA-RWSL shelter to be located adjacent to the existing Runway 27L ALSF shelter will also be installed. A new Com Ed service feed as well as fiber optic cable connectivity to the air traffic control tower will be required to make the RWSL shelter fully functional.

PEDESTRIAN TUNNEL REPAIRS
Scope of Work:Remediation of water infiltration throughout the pedestrian tunnels below the concourses and roadways. Scope also includes interior remodeling and updating of pedestrian tunnels. New finishes will allow for a back-up drainage system as a second line of defense to any possible water migration through the tunnel structure. New energy efficient lighting and mechanical distribution is included. Project area extends into the area of the tunnels under the Hilton for finishes continuity.

I-190 LIFT STATION REPLACEMENT
Scope of Work:This project consists of improvements to the existing Taxiway Lift Station. Work includes removal and replacement of existing ventilation, pumps, valve, motors, motor starters, wet well control panel, associated piping, and electrical infrastructure. The project also includes Supervisory Monitoring System (SMS) integration, upgrades to the facility's lighting control, replacement of an existing "ship's ladder", and installation of a wet well concrete liner and partial depth concrete repair.

Scope of Work:Replacement of 11 Rotunda Air Handling Units. Recondition of the existing ductwork. TERMINAL AREA FIRE MAIN REPLACEMENT
Scope of Work:Relocation of the terminal area fire main loop including approximately 7000 lf of 12” fire main, 1500 lf of 8” hydrant fire main and 32 fire hydrants. New alignment will minimize impacts to traffic by locating portions of the loop within the commercial vehicle lanes. Medians and center lanes will be reconstructed within the terminal area to meet ADA and will include new sidewalks and utility replacements. Approximately 2,500 lf of ComEd ductbank will be included to replace an existing ductbank that is at risk of failure.

MDW AIRPORT MAINTENANCE COMPLEX IMPROVEMENTS

Scope of Work:Replacing the HVAC for the garage with an energy efficient system, replacing the overhead doors and associated hardware, an upgrade to the emergency generator and switchgear, and the replacement of the boilers with more energy efficient boilers. Expanding and replacing the potassium acetate pumps and tanks to allow for a total of 90,000 gallons of onsite storage. The project also includes replacing the roof membrane, an upgrade of the windows, replacing the HVAC system in the office area, replacement of the emergency egress doors and hardware, and improvements for ADA accessibility.

Federally-funded. DBE participation of 30% required.
Services may include, but are not limited to: making at least two site visits per home, computer-aided design and drafting, developing window and door schedules, preparing specifications, and reviewing submittals and code requirements.
