Who we are and what we do
Construction Training Specialists Ltd have one of the widest portfolios of
construction based qualifications in the Eastern Region. We have expertise in de-
livering courses from entry level through to supervisory and management all of
which are across a plethora of skill and trade areas. Our Flexible approach to in-
dustry allows us to move with trends and react to our customers’ needs immedi-
ately anywhere within the UK.
Our Mission Statement:
“CTS Limited are committed to raising the skill level of all learners who wish to develop a
successful career in the Construction Industry, doing so by providing a first class delivery
and training experience”.
One of our main strengths is the way in which we work with employers to in-
crease the numbers of apprenticeships on offer to young people in this area. We
are currently working with over 40 young apprentices and their employers to give
them the skills, knowledge and experience to start their careers in the construc-
tion industry.
It is our partnerships with other organisations such as Norfolk County Council
Adult Education, Broadland Council Training Services, City College Norwich and
ConstructionSkills that enable us to offer funded training to the unemployed, self
employed and employed people, with many qualifications and courses on offer to
help people achieve recognised qualifications to further their career options.

APPRENTICESHIPS
An apprenticeship is still the best way to becoming a construction craft operative. It
enables you to learn, work, earn and get qualified all at the same time, by combining college
training with on site experience.
An apprenticeship framework is based around an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification). These
qualifications are developed and approved, and are designed to measure your practical skills and
job knowledge by assessing your work on-site.
As part of your apprenticeship you will also:
Gain a Technical Certificate;
Complete a Heath & Safety Test;
Achieve the appropriate level of Functional Skills assessment.
The apprenticeship programme is designed to help you prepare for a career on site, and to ensure
you get the right qualification to get into the construction industry, including qualifying for the ap-
propriate card scheme.
Your employer may also be able to claim a grant to support you through a 3 year
apprenticeship.

COURSE CONTENT
The BPEC Level 2 NVQ Diploma will is aimed at candidates who have relevant plumbing and heating
knowledge and skills working within the industry.
There are two pathways available at this level:
NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
NVQ Diploma in Installing and Maintaining Domestic Heating Systems.
These comprise mandatory units, including:
Understand and carry out safe working practices in building services engineering
