OPERATIONS CORNER Student Attendance and the Monitoring of Student Absenteeism: Texas State law states: A student who fails to attend classes for at least 90% of the days the class is offered, cannot receive credit for the class—even if the absences were excused by the school district for medical or other reasons. (TEC 25.092) It is mandatory for you and your child to comply with the Texas State law requirement. Students not complying will be placed on an excessive absence probationary notice for the 2012-2013 school year and will be at risk of being retained for excessive absences. Arrival Procedure General Supervision begins at 7:15 a.m. No students may be inside or outside unsupervised. Our school hours are between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is the responsibility of parents to drop off and pick up their children on time. All parents should use the main entrance and proceed to the front of the school and drop off their child (ren) at the sidewalk in front of the building. Please do not park in front of the drop-off /pick up area. You may park in the parking lot for appointments or other school business. A student is marked tardy after 7:45 a.m. If any student arrives after 7:45 a.m., he/she should report to the school administration office to receive a tardy slip before entering the classroom. Facilities IDEA Frontier Campus will be adding a New Parking Lot and Entrance. Construction will begin Mid October and is projected to be completed in 6-8 weeks. Further information with the construction process is forthcoming.
