AirportAirport runway extension projects turn to plate and precast solutions to accommodate aircraft loading requirements. These structures offer a number of advantages to airport designers who need fast installation with the ability to support aircraft loading.

RoadwayPlate and precast structures provide the option of vehicular tunnels or roadway overpasses. U.S. Bridge vehicular truss bridges can clear spans to 300 feet, with widths to 50 feet. All of these structures can be detailed to your specifications.

MULTI-PLATE® andAluminum Structural PlateMULTI-PLATE® structures consist of field-bolted galvanized steel plates. Aluminum Structural Plate weighs 1/50 as much as reinforced concrete pipe, reducing assembly and equipment costs, and allowing for easy handling of long preassembled structures.

SUPER-SPAN™

Economical RehabilitationBridge rehabilitation, widening and modernization are frequently more economical and less disruptive than complete removal and replacement. Many bridges can also be relined by erecting CONTECH plate structures inside of them, or by erecting the structures outside and threading them into existing openings. Plate units are delivered to the job site unassembled and easily bolted together to form various shapes.

CON/SPAN® and BEBO® concrete arches provide another alternative for bridge rehabilitation. Precast elements are easily slid underneath existing aging structures to ensure their long-term serviceability.
