Product Overview and Specifications

Overview

The Content Management System (CMS) is a system for centralized management of image/video content of surgical procedures that are performed in a hospital.Surgical procedures performed in an operating room can be distributed live, and can be viewed by multiple users.The CMS can also be used to search, view, and edit archived content (CMS for PC only).This document describes the settings configured by an administrator user.

Main Applications

Live distribution of operating room picturesLive distribution of operating room pictures allows multiple users to view the medical procedure.

Centralized management of image filesStores image data recorded on devices, such as HVO-series Medical Recorders, on the Content Management System server for centralized management.

Video on demandVideos stored on the Content Management System server can be viewed when requested by users.

Image data sharing/referenceImage data can be shared or referred between users, or can be used for education and training of medical personnel.

Network browser-based user interfaceGeneral users can view image data in a browser running on client PCs on the network.Administrators can access administrator-only screens in a browser to make required settings.

Video editing by general usersGeneral users can be granted access privileges to edit video.

CMS MetastamperCMS Metastamper is supplied as standard for acquiring test orders in a RIS (MWM) for specified patient IDs.Operating room personnel can select patient information in the CMS Metastamper list, and control video recording of surgical operations using CMS Metastamper recording buttons.

This software is not designed for diagnostic function use, and does not provide a DICOM viewer function.

Installing Software and Initial Setup

Install the software and configure the initial setup when using the software for the first time.

Step 1: Installing Content Management System (CMS core) on the CMS Server

PrerequisitesCheck the following conditions before starting installation.• Apache and PostgreSQL are not running• Check that the following ports used by CMS are not in

use.

• Set firewall settings to allow access on the following ports used by CMS.

Installing

1 Right-click Setup.exe for CMS, and select [Run as administrator].

If the [User Account Control] dialog appears, click the [Yes] button.

2 Select the interface language on the [Choose Setup Language] screen and click [Next].

3 Click the [Install] button.

This screen is not displayed if the related software has already been installed.

The CMS installer screen appears.

4 Click the [Next] button.

The [End User License Agreement] screen appears.

5 Select [I accept the agreement], and click the [Next] button.

The [Enter License] screen appears.

6 Enter your [License Number] and [Install Key], and click the [Next] button.

The [Installation Preparation Completed] screen appears.

7 Click the [Install] button.

The installation starts.When installation finishes, the [Installation Completed] screen appears.

8 Click the [Finish] button.

Installation is completed.After installation, a “cmsadmin” default account is automatically created.Use the default account when logging in to CMS for the first time.

Step 2: Creating LDAP Users/Groups for Logging In to CMS

You can log in to CMS using the default account created in Step 1 (page 11). The default account is a temporary account used for initial login.

1 Enter the URL of the CMS in a browser.

http://[CMS_server_address]/mvs/ Ask an administrator for the CMS server address.

The CMS login screen appears.

2 Enter the user ID and password for the default account created in Step 1 (page 11).

User ID: cmsadminPassword: Hvo2Cms

3 Click the [Login] button.

The [Admin Tool] screen appears.

The CMS operation screen is not displayed when logged in using the default account.

4 Click the [Server Settings] tab on the [Admin Tool] screen.

5 Click the [LDAP Server] tab sub item.

The [LDAP Server] settings screen appears.

6 Configure user information on the LDAP server for use in CMS.

For details about configuration, see page 26.This configuration allows you to register LDAP users in CMS with CMS user settings.

7 Click the [Users and Groups] tab on the [Admin Tool] screen.

8 Click the [Users/Groups] tab sub item.

The [Users/Groups] screen appears.

9 Register a user or group.

For details about registering, see page 44.

Register a user with Integrator role.

10 Check that you can log in to CMS using the user registered with Integrator role.

Step 3: Disabling the “cmsadmin” Default Account

After registering LDAP users/groups in Step 2 (page 13), disable the default account.

The default account should be disabled for security purposes.

1 Open the “cms.ini” file using a Windows text editor, such as NotePad.

File storage location:C:\Program Files\Sony\Content Management System\cms\conf

2 Delete the rootUserCredential value (portion following the “=” symbol).

rootUserCredential =

3 Save to overwrite the file.

4 Select [Control Panel] – [All Control Panel Items] – [Administrative Tools] – [Services] in Windows.

5 Restart [Sony CMS Framework].

Step 4: Creating a Shared Folder on the CMS Server (Windows Server 2012 R2) and Specifying an NTP Server

The recorded material from a HVO recorder is saved to a shared folder on the CMS server (Windows Server 2012 R2). Image data can be viewed, searched, and edited by importing recorded material saved in the shared folder on the CMS server.This step creates and configures the shared folder, and specified an NTP server.

The shared folder is created in Windows Server 2012 R2.

1 Select [Control Panel] – [All Control Panel Items] – [User Accounts] – [Manage another account] in Windows Server 2012 R2.

2 Click [Add a user account] on the [Manage Accounts] screen.

The [Add a user] screen appears.

3 Add a user for sharing.

The user added in this step is used when configuring the following settings.• When creating a shared folder• When configuring the HVO recorder output folder

(watch folder) (page 17)

This document uses “Share” as the user name for sharing as an example.

4 Right-click anywhere on the CMS server (Windows Server 2012 R2), and select [New] – [Folder] from the context menu.

The New Folder dialog appears.

5 Save the folder with the desired folder name.

6 Right-click the folder, and select [Properties] from the context menu.

7 Click the [Advanced Sharing] button on the [Sharing] tab of the [Properties] dialog.

8 Place a check mark in the [Share this folder] checkbox in the [Advanced Sharing] dialog.

9 Enter the share name of folder in [Share name].

Example: Target1

10 Click the [Permissions] button.

The [Permissions] dialog appears.

11 Click the [Add] button.

The [Select Users or Groups] dialog appears.

12 Enter the user name for sharing (for example, “Share”) specified in step 3 (page 15) in [Enter the object names to select], then click the [Check Names] button.

The path of the user for sharing is displayed in [Enter the object names to select].

13 Click the [OK] button.

The user for sharing added in the [Permissions] dialog is displayed.

14 Place a check mark in the [Allow] checkbox for [Full Control], and click [OK].

15 Click the [Edit] button on the [Security] tab of the [Properties] dialog.

16 Click the [Add] button, and add “cmsmanager.”

17 Place a check mark in the [Allow] checkbox for [Full Control].

18 Select [Everyone] and click the [Remove] button.

19 Click the [OK] button.

20 Click the [OK] button in the [Advanced Sharing] dialog.

21 Click the [OK] button in the [Properties] dialog.

22 Specify a Windows Server 2012 R2 NTP server.

Step 5: Configuring an HVO recorder

The following configuration is performed using the menu of the HVO recorder.• Setting the shared folder as the HVO recorder output

folder• Configuring the NTP server• Encrypting metadata

For details about menu operations on the HVO recorder, refer to the operating instructions for the HVO recorder.

Setting the shared folder as the HVO recorder output folder

1 Press the [MENU] button on the front panel of the HVO recorder.

The menu appears on the display.

2 Click [Settings] on the menu screen.

3 Select the [System Admin Settings] button on the screen.

The [System Admin Settings] screen appears.

4 Select the [Network Settings] button on the screen.

The [Network Settings] screen appears.

5 Select the [File Server] tab on the [Network Settings] screen.

6 Configure the following settings on the [File Server] tab.

7 Select the [Apply] button.

Configuring the NTP server

1 Press the [MENU] button on the front panel of the HVO recorder.

The menu appears on the display.

2 Click [Settings] on the menu screen.

3 Select the [System Admin Settings] button on the screen.

The [System Admin Settings] screen appears.

4 Select the [Network Settings] button on the screen.

The [Network Settings] screen appears.

5 Select the [NTP] tab on the [Network Settings] screen.

Step 9: Configuring the Streaming Server

Perform protocol conversion on the audio/video signals transmitted from the network camera, and configure the streaming server settings sent to the CMS server.

This section describes the configuration of a streaming server using the Wowza Streaming Engine as an example.

1 Double-click the “startmgr.bat” file on the CMS server.

The command prompt launches and the service is started.

2 Enter the following URL in a browser.

The Wowza Streaming Engine software is displayed in the browser.

3 Click the [Skip Info] button on the [Welcome] tab.

The [Sign In] screen appears.

4 Enter the following user name and password, then click the [Sign In] button.

5 Open Application >live >Stream Files, then click the [Add Stream File] button.

9 Click the [Connect to this stream] button for the added stream in the Stream Files list.

This setting will automatically connect the network camera stream in cases such as when the CMS server is restarted.

12 Open Application >live >Incoming Streams, then click the name of the added stream.

13 Click the [Test Players] button.

14 Select [Adobe RTMP] in the [Test Players] dialog, then click the [Start] button.

15 Check that the image is displayed in the viewer.

16 Enter Ctrl+C at the command prompt launched when “startmgr.bat” was executed.

The Wowza Streaming Engine service stops.

Step 10: Configuring [Operating Rooms] in [System Settings] on the [Admin Tool] screen

Configure [Operating Rooms] in [System Settings] on the [Admin Tool] screen for browsing live sources.

Uninstalling Software

Use the following procedures if you need to uninstall the software.

Uninstalling Content Management System (CMS core)

Uninstall using the [Programs and Features] control panel in Windows Server 2012 R2.

You can also use the Setup.exe installer used to install CMS software on the CMS server to uninstall the software.

Uninstalling Content Management System will remove all content within CMS and the database. Once removed, the data cannot be restored.

Uninstalling CMS Metastamper

Note the following points when configuring a root directory.– If content is created and saved in the root directory

after the start of operation, attempting to delete the root directory will cause an error. The root directory can be deleted only when it contains not content.

– If a job is active on the master server, attempting to add, modify, or delete a directory will cause an error. To continue, first check the status of running jobs and cancel the jobs (page 49).

– The folder specified in Root Directory can be shared with other users as described in “Step 4: Creating a Shared Folder on the CMS Server (Windows Server 2012 R2) and Specifying an NTP Server” (page 14). Specify the same share name and path for sharing in [Name] and [Path] for the root directory. Sharing will not work if the entries are different.

2 Click the [Save] button.

To run a job, click the [Activate] button.CleanJobTaskJob is a function that deletes finished jobs from the job list in sequence from oldest to newest.CleanJobTaskJob should be run regularly to prevent adverse affects on system response as jobs accumulate.

Some master server settings cannot be changed while CleanJobTaskJob is active. In this case, cancel all running jobs on the [Job] tab (page 49) and then change the master server settings.

Login Timeout

Sets the duration for automatically logging out from the system after a specified duration of user inactivity.After enabling this setting, restart the service to apply the setting.

Adding and deleting metadata mappings is an asynchronous process. When deleting, a [Loading] icon is displayed on the right side of the metadata mapping name. If an error occurs or the process is canceled, a red triangular error icon is displayed.A metadata mapping cannot be deleted when [Loading] is displayed. Attempting to add metadata, map metadata, or delete while adding/deleting will cause an error. Only a single job for deletion or addition can be active at any one time.

You can check the add metadata, mapping, and deletion processing for running jobs and finished jobs on the [Job] tab. You can also stop, restart, cancel, and delete processes as required (page 49).

Deleting metadata mapping

1 Click the (Edit) button to invoke edit mode.

2 Click the row for the metadata mapping to delete in the Metadata Mapping area list.

A confirmation dialog appears.

Use this screen to configure users and groups in the system.Users and groups can be assigned one of the following account roles (Integrator, Manager, Editor, or Viewer).The functions that are made available vary according to the account role. For details, see “About Account Roles” (page 61) in the Appendix.

Users to register must be LDAP users and groups, since user authentication is performed using Active Directory or OpenLDAP.

The selected user/group is removed from the list, and sharing is canceled.

3 Click the [Save] button.

Removing sharing privileges also disables sharing of content previously imported by the user configured for sharing.

Changing the usage priority of an LDAP user belonging to several groupsIf an LDAP user is registered in more than one top-level user/group, and the [Expire Date] and [Login Banned] settings for user/groups to which the LDAP user belongs are different, the priority of the user/group settings information that is used can be changed by changing the display order in the list on the [Users/Groups] screen.A higher position in the list increases the priority, while a lower position decreases the priority.

1 Select a top-level user/group for which you want to change the priority.

2 Click the (Up) or (Down) button on the [Users/Groups] screen.

The priority is changed.The display order of the list sets the priority of the configuration used.

• A user who belongs to more than one group and has an account registration has operating permissions using that account.

• A user who belongs to more than one group and does not have an account registration will be granted operating permission for an account determined by the account priority of the groups to which they belong the first time they log in.

Deleting a user or group

1 Click the (Edit) button.

2 Click the row for the user/group to delete in the list on the [Users/Groups] screen.

3 Click the [Delete] button.

A deletion confirmation message appears.

4 Click the [Delete] button.

The user/group is deleted.

• Deleting a group also deletes the user/groups belonging to the group.

Checking the job statusThe job status is displayed in a progress bar in the [Status] column.

You can stop, restart, cancel, and delete the processing for running jobs and delete jobs that have finished running.

(Pause) button:Pauses job processing.

(Resume) button:Resumes processing of a paused job.

(Cancel) button:Cancels job processing.

(Delete) button:Deletes the job. When clicked, a deletion confirmation message appears. Click the [OK] button of the message dialog to delete the job.

Monitoring job details

1 Turn edit mode off.

Job details cannot be monitored if edit mode is on.

CMS Metastamper Settings

This section describes CMS Metastamper configuration performed by administrator users.

.ini File Settings

You can change the patient information items displayed on the main screen and the patient information file contents exported to CMS by editing the setting.ini file.

1 Open the setting.ini file in the following folder using a text editor, such as NotePad.C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Sony\CMS_MetaStamper

In Windows 8 and 8.1, the setting.ini file is located in the following folder.C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Sony\CMS_MetaStamper

The initialization settings are displayed.

2 Change the .ini file values as required.

Tip

Value Operation

0 Not displayed in patient information on the main screen, but is included in the patient information file exported to CMS.

1 to 8 Displayed in patient information on the main screen in the specified sequence, and is included in the patient information file exported to CMS.

Config Settings

1 Start the touch panel PC.

CMS Metastamper starts, and the main screen appears.

2 Click/tap the (Settings) button.

The [Configure] screen appears.

3 Configure the following items.

Item Setting

AE Title Enter the AE title that Metastamper transmits with the MWM SCU.

Item Setting

IP Address Enter the IP address of the MWM SCP.

Port Number Enter the port number of the MWM SCP.

AE Title Enter the AE title of the MWM SCP.

[ECHO] button Click to apply settings. “Success” is displayed if settings are successfully applied.

AE Title Enter the AE title that Metastamper transmits with the MPPS.

Item Setting

IP Address Enter the IP address of the MPPS SCP.

Port Number Enter the port number of the MPPS SCP.

AE Title Enter the AE title of the MPPS SCP.

[ECHO] button Click to apply settings. “Success” is displayed if settings are successfully applied.

Item Setting

Recorder No Select the recorder number to use from the combo box.

Enable Place a check mark in the checkbox to enable the recorder, as required, when several recorders are connected. Recorder 1 is enabled when one recorder is connected by default at installation.

COM Port Number

Enter the COM port number of the recorder.

Bit Rate Enter the bit rate of the recorder.

Item Setting

File Server UNC

Displays the save destination path of the file server settings. The display changes to match the setting of [Recorder No] in the [Recorder] settings.

User Enter the user name of the file server.

Password Enter the password of the file server.

[AES Password] buttonClicking this displays the [AES Setting] dialog. Configure the Metastamper metadata encrypted password (key) in the dialog.

[Reader Setting] buttonConfiguration is required if patient information other than the patient ID, such as the patient name, is stored in a barcode or in a magnetic swipe (page 56).

4 Click the [OK] button.

The settings are saved.

Reader Settings

1 Click the [Reader Setting] button on the [Configure] screen.

The reader settings screen appears.

2 Import card reader data using a barcode reader while the screen is displayed.

The data appears.

A space character is represented by an asterisk (*).

3 Set the method for importing patient IDs.

4 Click the [Analyze] button.

Patient IDs are displayed using the specified display method as shown in [Result].

5 Click the [OK] button.

The configuration is saved, and the reader settings screen closes.

Password Setting

Specify a character string password (key) or a hexadecimal key.

Disp Password Place a check mark in the checkbox to show the entered password in the dialog.

Lead Position Select the import start position in the patient ID from the combo box.

Length Select the length (number of digits) of the patient ID from the combo box.
