Message from the Chairperson of the Executive Board of Mahidol Wittayanusorn School

On behalf of the Thailand International Science Fair Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all of you to Mahidol Wittayanusorn School, host of the 2019 Thailand International Science Fair, which will be held during January 8-11, 2019.

It is indeed an honor to have many very talented delegates from various countries with us. Aside from our international guests, we have many top young scholars from leading high schools from all over Thailand attending this special event. We are pleased to welcome all of you.

We are gathered here not only to share and exchange our students’ scientific findings and results, but our young scientists also get to know each other and work together in the future. We are in the process of nurturing the innovators of tomorrow in the era of technological revolution. It is our challenge to prepare our students for a constantly changing world. They should be able to acknowledge and adjust to this dynamic global environment along with the potential to be valuable citizens who will make significant contributions to our societies and the future of mankind.

I wish the Thailand International Science Fair 2019 a success and would like to express my gratitude to our friends who have travelled from distance and take your time to share knowledge with us. I believe this event will be a productive collaborative learning experience to our future aspiring scientists, researchers, and innovators.

Message from the Principal of Mahidol Wittayanusorn School

It gives me great pleasure to welcome distinguished guests, principals, teachers and students to the Thailand International Science Fair 2019 (TISF 2019).

TISF 2019 with the theme “Sufficient Economy for Sustainable Future” is an international event designed especially for high school science students that will be held from January 8-11, 2019, at Mahidol Wittayanusorn School. We are deeply honored that Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn will graciously preside over the opening ceremony

TISF 2019 will bring together young talents from 26 schools in 16 countries and 38 science high schools throughout Thailand, to share and exchange their research findings in an exciting and supportive environment. Amongst the highlights of this occasion are numerous science project presentations, science activities, a science zone, and cultural excursions for students. Teachers and educators will benefit as well with opportunities for them to share their expertise and collaborate in an exchange of ideas.

With the rapid changes in technologies and society, the need for the younger generations to learn to globally collaborate has increased. We believe that it is our responsibility to ignite their curiosity and passion for science and technology as well as a sense of global civic responsibility through comprehensive learning that builds and reinforces lasting commitment to their societies.

We wish to extend you a warm welcome to Mahidol Wittayanusorn School for the TISF 2019 and we hope you will have an enjoyable and pleasant stay in Thailand.
