Oregon Birds is a publication of Oregon Birding Association (formerly Oregon Field Ornithologists), an Oregon not-for-profit corporation. Two issues are produced each year, a full-color " A n n u a l Highl ights" issue i n the spring and an issue w i t h other articles i n the fall .
Membership i n OBA includes a subscription to Oregon Birds. Oregon Birds is looking for material i n these broad categories: Birding Oregon, Recent Research, Short Notes, and Local News and Notes. Birding Oregon articles deal w i t h identification, distribution, b i r d finding guides, e.g. "where to f i n d a i n Oregon" (for some of the rarer birds). Recent Research articles typically deal w i t h ecology, management, conservation, taxonomy, behavior, biology, and historical aspects of ornithology and birding i n Oregon. Local News and Notes includes local information (new checklists, new b i rd ing sites, event information).
