1.     In what ways does your music magazine use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real music magazines?

I wanted to create something that has a professional look, therefore follows the conventions o real magazine contents page, however I did not want to follow the rules, I wanted mine to stand out, which meant I had to create something different in terms of settings, colourings, wording, or font type use. This is the reason why I have laid out my contents page in this particular way, that the main image is not on the side, it is under the actual contents. It creates a very unusual look compare to other magazines' contents pages. Also the fact that I have used a pinkish cream colour for the leading colour of the contentspage which gave it a sort of feminine look, however the ripping effect that I have added creates another layer to the contents page where we really can see The image of the real magazine. We can see a steel background, which signifies power, and how hard the magazine is in terms of situation in the market. Also it contrast the feminine look of the contest page and it brings a really masculine aspect to it. This is beneficial because it appeals to my female and maletarget audience at the same time, and it satisfies both of their needs.

The model and the clothing we have used for the photograph that I have used to create this contents page was just perfectly fitted to the genre that I have analysed which was hip-hop. The contents page represents my target audience which are people in the age of 14-25 mainly male but partly female in a 60-40% ratio.

2. How does your music magazine represent particular social groups

I have chosen Time Inc as I previously said in my evaluations for my magazine cover and my double page spread. The reason is because they have a large fan base with a huge target audience, and with a strong brand reputation

3. What kind of media institution might distribute your music magazine and why?

My audience would be people in age of 14-25 as said earlier in my previous evaluations. They would be in a c-b socio economic groups and they would be definite hip-hop lovers. My readership profile has shown all the information about my target audience

4. Who would be the audience for your music magazine?

On my contents page I had a different way of attracting my target audience. I have placed big names and interesting stories that appeal a wide target audience in able to increase my readership. This is because more people know about 50 cent and Rick Ross or Soop Dogg then rappers such as Young Buck, Llyods, Hopsin, which might not be interesting to a certain people. We also can see Drake’s and MEEK Mill’s name on the contents page. I have created Lady Lurr out of my model it signifies a lier lady having an image sort of like Nicki Minaj. This will increase the attention of the audience and it will also appeal to my male and female target audience, because the males are going to be attracted to her and the females are going to look up to her as a role model.

5. How did you attract your target audience ?

I needed a create r ripped effect to the contents page in able to present that double themed contents page , which I have done by using selection tools and bevel and emboss blending option, all the other aspects of the creation of this contest page

Looking back at my preliminary task I have improved a lot on my editing skills, also the awareness of different font type have increased due to the research I have done about different font types, colours, and settings.
