Scattered light has components of diffraction, refraction and reflection.
Changes in the particulate reflective properties, shape
and color have an effect on instruments mass response. Gravimetric calibration is necessary to correlate to EPA
PM concentration criteria. Not EPA Designated. Used as a Survey or low cost continuous ambient monitor.
