The GoJ intends to apply a poron of resources obtained from the World Bank’s Foundaons for Compeveness and Growth Project to conduct a Transacons Advisory Services for the engagement of a private investor in the SWTC. The Soapberry Wastewater Treatment Plant (SWTP) is currently owned and operated by Central Wastewater Treatment Company (CWTC) which was established as a special purpose company for the construcon and operaon of the facility. NWC has a majority shareholding of CWTC and is desirous of reducing its shareholding in CWTC in order to achieve a twofold objecve: 1. Liquidaon of the NWC’s shares so the asset can be realised towards financing NWC’s strategic investment plan; and 2. It is ancipated that the restructuring of the ownership of the CWTC will enable the new owners to garner addional capital investment to expand the capacity of the Soapberry wastewater facility as per the projected incremental increase in demand. The main objecve of this assignment is to provide advisory support to the Government and the Enterprise Team throughout the transacon with the aim of the successful compleon of the share transfer process within the agreed me period.
