CURICULUM VITAE : EMAD BOUTROS December 1987- March 1990 The Project : great Cairo wastewater system projects – Egypt - a US- AID funded programme. The project was jointly financed by British – American engineering consultants named AMBRIC. Contract No. 25 west bank Cairo – wastewater system. George A. Fuller Company – general contractor. The major item of this contract was the construction of twin- culvert ( 2.60m wide * 2.00m hight ) connecting the pyramids pumping station with the new treatment plant at Abu - Rawash. The total length of the culvert was 7.6 Km along Mansoureya canal. The project challenges / my professional experience : - The water table on the flood plain is about 2 to 3 m below the ground surface. In many areas the sand aquifer is confined by clays and silts. - The structures was 5m to 10m below ground surface in the saturated alluvium and therefore groundwater plays a significant part during construction. - Site investigations were carried out to determine the static water levels and quality of groundwater. Permeability of the aquifer was ascertained by means of pumping tests 1

ARCHIRODON Group.

ARCHIRODON was established in 1959 in the form of a J.V. of the Greek firms ARCHIMIDIS, Greece's foremost marine contractor at the time, and ODON & ODOSTROMATON, a road and bridge construction specialist group.Guided by Constantinos Karpidas, one of Greece's most prominent construction pioneers, the J.V. started its professional life by building the ports of Benghazi in Libya (1961) and subsequently the port of Beirut, Lebanon (1962).Its success soon led it to develop into a major contractor in its own merit, establishing itself in 1971 as ARCHIRODON CONSTRUCTION (OVERSEAS) CO. S.A. Under sound management, a dedicated professional staff and the quality and reliability of its work, the company further developed, expanding its operations initially in Saudi Arabia and subsequently in other Gulf countries, North Africa and the Mediterranean area.

Additionally, after American International Contractors Inc. - AICI (a US company initially operating under the name of George A. Fuller Co.) became part of ARCHIRODON Group in the late 1980's, there has been further expansion in USAID and US Corps of Engineers projects in Somalia, Jordan, Kuwait, Sudan and Egypt. At present ARCHIRODON GROUP N.V., registered in the Netherlands, is the legal parent of all ARCHIRODON Group companies which have established offices and branches and/or project sites in, Saudi, Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Cyprus and Greece.
