WE MAKE HIGH PERFORMANCE LUBRICANTSThat enable anyone to save costInterflon manufacture lubricants with exceptionally good performance for industrial and food-stuff plant equipment maintenance purposes. Our products reduce maintenance cost and power consumption whilst promoting component reliability and factory output

Interflon partner Operational Excellence

Lubricating by rolling particlesUnlike conventional petrochemical lubricants, Interflon products are fortified with high performance additives and MicPol® particles. These particles form an ultra thin lubrication film that provides for a very smooth lubrication film with long lasting friction reduction

A step above the restThat's how our clients reduce their overall maintenance costs with as much as 20%, 30%, sometimes even 50% or more whilst resolving their most awkward issues at the same time.

Extended periods of maintenance free serviceIn this way, Interflon lubricants reduce friction and wear much better than conventional lubricants, in particular, in adverse conditions of extreme loads, high and low temperatures, strong contamination and in high water wash areas

Once Experienced. Never forgotten.Interflon customers experience considerably lower lubrication labour cost and lubricant consumption rates. They prolong the service life of their critical components, reduce power consumption and improve equipment utilization rates and reliability at the same time.

Application ; Lubrication Manuel

All grease dissolves in time.

The degree of dissolving depend on.

• Operating hours• Amount of flushing water• Pressure on the grease• Quality of the grease

• Lubrication during day time• Lubrication is inspection• Always follow the lubrication frequency

according to the manual on board

• Work safe and clean• Use the right tools• Make a report of damage ore wear• Clean the lubrication points before and

after lubrication

PAGE 22

Application; Lubrication of on-board cranes

ProblemThe on-board crane use to be lubricated with a tar brush. The crane was soiled as a result of excessive grease. Rust would form at places where the soiling had become permanently stuck or exposed to seawater.

Environment• All weather conditions• Salt Water

Previous product• LS2 BP

Solution• Interflon Grease LS1

First degrease and clean the mast with Fin Degreaser EM 30+ and a filling knife. Remove any remains with Metal Clean. Once the mast is clean and dry, apply some grease to specific areas. This can be done using a tar brush with hairs cut back to about 2.5 cm. Then roll out the grease in a thin layer with a paint roller

Page 23: Contracting Information IGCS Tel – 888-885-4427 Fax – 469 ...

Result: The bearings last up to 5 years Seawater does not penetrate into the bearing Cost saving

PAGE 23

Application; Ball bearings of the countershaft and the jet shaft

ProblemExcessive grease damages the bearings and too little grease makes the bearing run dry.

Environment• All weather conditions• Salt Water

Previous product• Various common products / none

Solution• Interflon Grease LS2 and Simalube

Attention pointsPreviously, the bearings had to be changed with each overhaul. Now they are filled and lubricated with SimaLube. After overhaul, they are set for one year. This produces a slight overpressure so that seawater does not penetrate into the bearing

Result:

No copper oxidation Good electrical contact Easy moving locks

PAGE 24

Application; Sockets and locks

Problem• Copper oxidation• Bad contact

Environment• All weather conditions• Salt Water / Sand

Solution• Interflon Lube EP (aerosol)

Attention points• Minimal lubrication

FIN LUBE TF / FIN GREASE MP 2/3 AND FIN GREASE OG

Umoe Schat-Harding AS are today using 'Fin Lube TF / Fin Grease MP 2/3 and Fin Grease OG" on our products which are winches, davits, hooks and boats. These are lubricants which is suitable for our products.

We have tested these lubricants both in fresh water and in seawater. Lubricated both the bearing and the shafts, it has been laying in fresh water with movement in the water. That test shown that each and all were usefulness, but the MP 2/3 and the OG type were best.

When we were testing them in seawater we hang the bearing and the shaft in such a way that they were under the water in high water and in air when low water. The test was done in a fortnight time, and the test show us that the Fine Lube TF do not hold as long as we wanted, but useful with small quantity of seawater.

The type MP 2/3" is a very good grease type which can bear the most, but it has also some exceptions regarding too much seawater over a long time. The salts get in and the grease loose some of the lubricating quality and will crackle craze after some time.

The winner of the test is without doubt the OG Grease". It has the same consistence after the test, but also in this grease we do find some small quantity of salt. But the lubricating quality were good. The conclusion is that we can recommend the products which are mentioned as good products and they will in the near future stand in our product catalogues.
