CONVECTION/INFRARED OVEN Blasdel Enterprises www.blasdel.net Blasdel Enteprises incorporates several of its prod- uct lines into this unique oven. It is a combination convection/infrared oven that preheats plastic sheets prior to molding. The hydraulic lift table presents the substrate at a consistent height and pushes it out onto the roll conveyor to be fed into the mold when the substrate has attained the proper temperature. The lift indexes up when a sheet is removed until all sheets on the pallet are used. An entire pallet of new material is then loaded via the large doors at one end. The oven consists of infrared heaters mounted in an enclosure with a separate recirculating heated air system. Three individually controlled vertical zones allow the user to run top, center, and bottom heater banks at different power levels to ensure uniform cur- ing of parts. The upper and lower heater banks are manually adjustable to closely profile the contour of parts being cured. The recirculated air, combined with infrared heaters, makes curing the parts gentler and improves uniformity.
