Conversions and Integrations You really can’t run a successful business if you don’t have the right tools or materials. Many end users have chosen to retain their existing, outdated security systems until a conversion is forced upon them due to system failures, end of life announcements or high support costs. Unfortunately, not all conversions are upgrades. Some organizations have actually swapped their old system for a newer, yet still a proprietary system. When, end-users have taken this “out of the frying pan and into the fire approach”, it is usually based on the lack of clear, economic alternatives. A true UPGRADE alternative now exists for just about any existing security system. Maxxess offers a cost-effective approach to upgrades that enables organizations to immediately move to open, interoperable access control. The Maxxess upgrade not only addresses existing requirements, but also allows users to leverage today’s technological advancements. Our conversion products feature the most open and powerful software available today. No matter what access control system we can upgrade it quickly and cost effectively. As an example, if you have a Casi or Software House system, we replace the hardware, however there is no labor or wiring required. The new hardware is built on the industry standard Mercury security OPEN hardware Platform. These Authentic Mercury boards are designed to fit the specific physical parameters of Software House’s iSTAR Pro Series and Casi Micro5 enclosures, giving the user a direct board replacement and both a streamlined and seamless upgrade path. When you “upgrade’ your system, don’t be blindsided again with $1,000's or $100,000's of dollars of worthless non supportable proprietary hardware or connected into a software package that dead ends! CONVERSIONS AND INTEGRATIONS

Maxxess: The Best Retrofits and the Most Integrations Maxxess is continuously developing system and product innovations for our partners and for our end users. Here are a few of our conversion products and 3rd party integrations that we are currently offering.

1) “Software Only” retrofits (the most popular retrofits today) For the last 10 years, customers have been upgrading their out dated access control systems moving away from proprietary systems to open architecture systems. For customer using the proprietary lines such as Software House, Hirsch Identiv, AMAG and many more, customers have had to reinvest a lot of money to replace their systems over the years. While many customers have replaced their systems to Open architecture, others made the mistake of purchasing another proprietary system undoubtedly because they were unaware of the benefits of selecting an open architecture. Below you will see two options in replacing systems, both at a much lesser cost than ever before. As the industry matures and technology improves, customers are given better options. Before you make a decision, be well informed of your options. In many cases we can update your security system and reduce your cost of ownership merely by replacing the software. You can use your legacy hardware and wiring. This is the lowest cost retrofit. This retrofit is possible when your system was designed with open architecture controllers such as Mercury. (Note that the Maxxess eFusion software uses open architecture controllers. You should always insist that any new security system be designed using open architecture controllers) As noted, the “Software Only” retrofit applies to any system using the Authentic Mercury hardware or the HID Edge controllers. Here is a list of companies that are Mercury or HID partners. If you are unsure, please contact Maxxess to find out whether your system is eligible for a software upgrade: avigilon Arinc Security Genetec Honeywell Security IDenticard Johnson Controls Keri Systems Lenel

Open Options RS2 Technologies S2 Security Schneider Electricity Video Insight A retrofit is accomplished by performing a data base conversion from the original database to the new eFusion database. In many cases, we are able to use 100% of the data leaving no data entry requirements. Once the database is converted, we connect to your existing hardware and perform a firmware flash, one controller at a time. This allows for minimal disruption to the system users.

2) “Software and Hardware” retrofits (the most recent conversions available in the market) When required, software and hardware retrofits, also known as “screwdriver-less” are the most recent type of conversion available in the industry. They are mainly used for upgrading Casi and Software House systems. It is important to be well informed and avoid replacing your existing proprietary hardware with new proprietary hardware such as in the case of AMAG. Continuing to upgrade hardware with more proprietary hardware prevents you from being able to capitalize on the more desired software-only retrofit. When a security system manufacturer uses proprietary hardware we can still provide a cost effective retrofit by replacing the proprietary boards with open architecture Mercury controllers. These hardware retrofits are either called plug & play or “screwdriver-less” changeovers. Each proprietary board is replaced with an open architecture Mercury board containing the same layout as the proprietary board.

So don’t be caught up in this situation when you can completely retrofit your existing CASI Micro5 hardware with a screwdriver-less replacement or your Facility Commander, Picture-Perfect or your Secure-Perfect system. Update your software with an up to date enterprise level software platform that will completely manage existing operations as well as offers over 70 different 3rd party integrations that are fully developed and managed by Maxxess-Systems, not the other way around. Maxxess and our partners can provide a solution with both software and hardware to make your site operations OPEN PLATFORM!

We use this type of retrofit for the following proprietary/closed system hardware and the list is growing:

• Software House

The Software House retrofit modules from Mercury-Security are called the MS bridge products. The MS-18S is a multi-device interface panel to replace the Software House iSTAR Pro 18 module. It provides the ability to monitor high concentrations of inputs, supporting 8 general purpose input circuits. These circuits are capable of being individually set for normally-open or normally-closed operations and can be declared supervised and non-supervised. Individually configurable parameters can be set for sensitivity ranges, timing parameters and end-of-line resistance values. The MS-I8S provides the capacity to link, control and respond to an array of sensors.

The MS-R8S is a multi-device interface panel to replace the Software House Pro R8 module. the MS-R8S interface panel is dedicated to point control and monitoring, providing 8 general purpose outputs as Form-C relay contacts. It also provides individually configurable parameters that can be set for timing and for fail-safe versus fail-secure modes. The MS-R8S is configurable to control a variety of outboard devices for general facility control such as lighting,

heating/cooling, door and elevator control. Devices can also be activated by the condition of selected system devices, either locally or regionally, without host intervention.

• Casi Rusco

The Casi Rusco retrofit modules are called The M5 Bridge products. They have been designed to fit the specific physical parameters of the Casi Micro5 enclosures used in the Casi Picture Perfect™, Secure Perfect™ and Facility Commander™ access control systems. The eMAX-M5 hardware and the Maxxess eFusion or eAXxess software package provides a screwdriver-less way to retrofit for the planned UTC End of Life for the CASI Micro 5 hardware.

The M5 modules allow the user to maintain their existing infrastructure, as well as allowing them to expand their site requirements using Open Technology Mercury based eMAX hardware.

Elevator interface

KONE Elevator Control Maxxess provides Data protocol based elevator control for KONE elevator systems

Maxxess provides a data protocol based elevator control, used for the direct interface to the KONE Elevator Products. Card Reader requests are processed resulting in Floor Authorization messages being sent directly to the KONE Elevator processor. The elevator control option allows cardholders to be assigned an elevator access level which designates which floors the cardholder is authorized to access. The Maxxess/KONE elevator system interface includes the use of the KONE destination operation panel (DOP) and a card reader. The cardholder will present their card to the reader and select their floor destination and the DOP. If authorized, the DOP will then direct the cardholder to the applicable elevator cab.

Schindler Smart Destination Dispatch Elevator Integration: The Schindler Smart Destination digital stations provides Destination Dispatch elevator control to reduce elevator energy cost. When a user presents their credential at a Smart Destination lobby terminal, eFusion identifies the cardholder and provides a pre-defined floor group to the terminal (Kiosk). The Smart Destination terminal then requests a floor number from the cardholder, compares the floor selection with the cardholder floor

group and if valid calls the nearest elevator that can travel in the direction (floor number) requested. This uses minimal energy to transport people to their floor destinations. Smart and cost effective! Digital elevator control is now linked in eFusion and eAXxess.

PACS and Wireless locks

1. ADANI Body Scanner Integration: This integration links a full line personnel scanning solution

with eFusion. This integration product supports areas like courthouses, police facilities, government facilities or any large facility where higher security is required for high traffic areas.

2. Aperio 8-Hub RS-485 Panel: This integration supports the ASSA ABLOY Aperio wireless products

using the eight port HUB to communication with Maxxess eFusion and eAXxess software.

Aperio enables mechanical locks to be wirelessly linked to a new or existing access control system without any need to modify the door. The heart of Aperio is a short distance wireless communication protocol designed to link an online electronic access control system with an Aperio enabled electronic cylinder or escutcheon.

3. Deister ProxSafe. The proxSafe flexx is a modular system for safekeeping and management of keys and valuables. Each key is securely attached to an electronic RFIDkeyTag. The key is locked in the proxCylinder where its code is read and monitored contactless.

4. Draeger IMS. The Product Family Dräger IMS 5000 and Dräger IMS 5600 contains Multi Gas Scanners which are able to detect very small amounts of toxic industrial compounds

5. Evolis Twain Signature Pad Integration: Evolis Twain Signature Pad integration provides Twain technology for cardholder signature processing within eFusion and eAXxess.

6. Facekey Facial Recognition. FaceKey has developed a combination of

software/firmware/hardware to minimize the effect of changing ambient light and to increase and maintain high accuracy with minimal recognition time.

7. Mercury IPS and MRDT Alarm Terminal Integration: The IPS and MRDT integrations provides local user controls and remote Alarm Zone management. Many of our partner’s clients link alarm control with access control at their facilities. Typically, this has been accomplished using conventional burg panels wired back to a local system panel using dry contacts linking an Open/Close at facility or in an area. Incorporating the IPS and MRDT components provides a totally remote keypad display management of secured areas site wide that provides instructions to the user. The integration allows for card or PIN terminal use making it simple to use and very easy to learn.

8. Mercury eMAX-EP4502 Area Controller: The EP4502 is the next generation of hardware in the on-going development of the Mercury hardware platform. This high performance area controller enables Maxxess to add complimentary third-party software applications onboard and it complies with BACnet standard for a smart link to building automation and control systems. In addition, the EP4502 supports a variety of extended features including High Assurance Credential Authentication that will allow links with Government systems to authenticate credentials in real-time. The integration with other databases is still in

development at Maxxess; however, the first step, the integration of the EP4502, has been accomplished.

9. Morpho/Safran Manager Enrollment Integration: The new Morpho biometrics technology

integration for finger print and finger print with card reader technology provides the most secure dual identity product in our industry. Morpho hardware and solutions is now available in eFusion and eAXxess. Morpho (Safran) Hand Geometry. Specially designed for registration and verification where the use case requires 4 fingerprints simultaneously or rolled fingerprints capture, such as travel and identity documents, voting, social benefits or as a part of a booking station.

10. PCSC Interface. As part of the Maxxess open architecture philosophy, we integrate to the PCSC two to twelve door suite of controllers.

11. Pradotec PDA. PRADOTEC designs, develops and manufactures a wide range of multi-application devices that focuses on smart card and biometric technology to enable our clients to deploy these devices in various industries.

Pradotec HRT500 PDA’s are fully integrated with the eFusion cardholder verification application, RemotePoint. These PDA’s are ruggedized for Guard use so valid ID of personnel can be accomplished in a transportable device, not a system terminals or video solutions. Guards at an entry station, manned gate locations, can verify and physically identify, full busloads of personnel or cars with drivers and their passengers quickly while maintaining a secured site. RemotePoint can also be used for remote attendance like a training class. With the RemotePoint application training classes can now be set up anywhere within a facility and provide positive ID to verify individual attendance. Readers installed on training rooms are expensive to install and class rooms may need to be changed within a facility for expansion or new business purposes. However, a RemotePoint PDA it transportable and eliminates that concern so employee training can be conducted in any available space.

RemotePoint can also be used for Muster stations during an emergency. Guards can carry a PDA to a safe zone and scan cards at that point or at multiple safe points, for accountability. Trying to use in/out readers during an emergency doesn’t work. If a person has left their card in their hast to exit they can hold up others blocking an exit, not practical and actually dangerous. A transportable PDA offers a fast look up with personnel images to verify personnel without their card. Since the RemotePoint PDA can be wireless even the latest system updates are available and downloads from the PDA can be obtained for fast system level Muster reports. There are a lot more secure accountability applications too. All of these solution options are now linked in eFusion and eAXxess.

12. SALTO SALLIS and SALTO SVN are two different applications of wireless technology: SALLIS is wireless on-line connecting to Maxxess using Mercury based eMAX hardware. The SVN is also wireless on-line connecting with Maxxess systems via an IP networked Gateway and downline transceivers, Nodes. The unique SVN technology also provides a virtual network use Data-on-Card for standalone access controlled locksets. There is no wireless component needed with the standalone locksets, they are wireless free and very cost effective. Food for thought: What about a keyless building that combines multiple technologies!

13. Salto SVN Keyless Building Integration: Maxxess is fully integrated with multiple reader technologies that support hardwired

products, utilizing individual door control components, as well as wireless and standalone technologies that incorporate door control components within the products. Now we have combined these technologies with our event management and automation solutions in eFusion and eAXxess to provide a keyless approach for building management.

14. SALTO SVN Hotel Room & Suite Integration: The SALTO SVN Hotel Room & Suite integrations allows eFusion and eAXxess to front end resort access and security providing full automation and controls to all areas. This SALTO hardware and solution is now available in eFusion and eAXxess.

15. Simons Voss

The Simons Voss Digital Locking System 3060 is an electronic version of a mechanical locking system with the functions of a typical access control system. Mechanical keys are replaced by active transponders, passive smart cards, Smartphones, PIN code keypads or biometric wall readers. Digital locking cylinders and digital fittings are used instead of mechanical locking cylinders while radio communication replaces the mechanical authentication of a key.

16. Trimble RemotePoint Integration:

Trimble Nomad are fully integrated with the eFusion cardholder verification application, RemotePoint. These PDA’s are ruggedized for Guard use so valid ID of personnel can be accomplished in a transportable device, not a system terminals or video solutions. Guards at an

entry station, manned gate locations, can verify and physically identify, full busloads of personnel or cars with drivers and their passengers quickly while maintaining a secured site.

All of these solution options are now linked in eFusion/eAXxess.

17. Twain Capture Integration: Twain Capture integration allows multi-page documents to be linked into a cardholders or Asset record. The addition of passports or critical documents can now be linked with any cardholder are now linked in eFusion and eAXxess.

18. VingCard

Database Integrations (DIS)

Common today is the requirement to use the customer’s authoritative database as the main point of data entry. Authoritative databases range from Active Directory to LDAP and even some custom databases. For over 10 years, Maxxess has specialized in database conversions and integrations. Maxxess’ Data Integration Service [DIS] was developed to simplify and automate integrations between database.

Maxxess Data Integration Services is a set of powerful services designed to allow integration between disparate systems, working transparently in the background to keep critical information synchronized. Change data in one system and every system on your network is updated within seconds.

As more and more disparate systems are introduced, ensuring appropriate access to these systems is manual and error prone. Maxxess Data Integration Services enables federation of these systems by mapping group membership in the Authoritative database to user accounts in each respective system. The DIS Connector keeps these systems synchronized with the Authoritative database, allowing changes to flow between them. With Maxxess Data Integration Services, eFusion and the Authoritative database work together to combine physical and logical access control. When the employee is hired and added into the authoritative database, the user is automatically added into eFusion. Should that account become disabled, the identity in eFusion is disabled. Synchronizing logical and physical access has never been easier.

Some of the Database Integrations to date include:

1. Microsoft Active Directory (or LDAP)

2. Maxxess eFusion

3. Microsoft SQL Sever

4. MySQL

5. Oracle

6. PeopleSoft

7. VMC
