Malout is Located in southern Punjab. It is a prominenttown in the cotton belt where production per unit area isone of the highest in India. Malout is a well known city ofPunjab established on NH-10 with a 4 lane highway, which

connects New Delhi to Fazilka through the city. This town isat the border of three Indian states (Punjab, Haryana andRajasthan) and two countries (India and Pakistan). Theboundaries of Haryana and Rajasthan are just 30 and

65 km away from Malout. On the other hand, it is only45 km from Pakistan. These areas were highly active inemergency time due to military actions. Malout city is 4-5centuries old.

body of Govt of Punjab and is registered under Society Act.The institute is controlled by Board of Governors; Chaired

by Honable Technical Education Minister to Govt. of

Punjab.

The self contained campus has beautiful academic andadministrative three storied building spread over 20 acres

land at three places, which has been magnificently and

aesthetically designed by the Chief Architecture of Punjab.

MIMIT is the only Govt. Institute which offers MBA & B.Tech

programs in Punjab. The institute offers an inspiring

learning environment, which transforms our bright young

scholars into talented, creative and disciplined

professionals.
