Steps to Making Healthy Decisions

• Identify the decision to be made.

• List your options. Identify all of the possible choices and get more information (from food labels, the internet, your teacher, your parents…).

Steps to Making Healthy Decisions• Compare your options. What are the

advantages and disadvantages of each option? (Consider your values and your families’ values.)

• Select the best solution. Select the best solution and carry out the solution.

• Evaluate your decision. Are you proud of your decision? Did you decide carefully?

Mario just got home from school and he’s very hungry. His mom left him a note. The note says, “You may have an apple or four peanut butter crackers for your snack.” But Mario knows there is leftover birthday cake in the refrigerator. What should he do?????
