Laid out in 1874,Sim's Park in Coonoor runs down a hillsidewith a small lake at the bottom, withwinding footpaths, pergolas, gazebos, and adense shola skirting it. The popular park is situated in a deep ravineon the Northern side of Coonoor RailwayStation at an elevation of 1768 to 1798 m.The natural shola with winding footpaths allover the higher slopes of the park is themost picturesque aspect of the park. Thenumerous tree specimens planted in ascattered way all over the place gives acharming look to the place.
2 Dolphin's Nose

Dolphin's Nose is a huge rock, about 10 kmfrom Coonoor that resembles a dolphin’s nose. The drive is not very smooth but the spot is popular nevertheless. From here you can also seethe Catherine Falls. The tea plantations andhairpin turns are quite a treat to watch onyour way. There are gigantic ravines on bothsides of the nose, offering you perfect shotsfor photography.
