COOP Purpose
• The purpose is to assist in transition of at-risk students with mental health/behavioral issues into competitive employment.
• The advantage for the student is to gain work experience while still in high school.
• Students and families will be involved in the team process, which requires family/parent participation
COOP Activities
• Meet monthly to discuss progress, successes and barriers
• Discuss referrals and potential referral sources
• Determine Eligibility
• Discuss discharge of consumers
• Capacity report
Mental Health requirement
• Diagnosed or suspected depression
• ADHD
• OCD
• Bipolar
• ODD
• May also be something more subtle such as student is withdrawn, has problems with peers or is taking medication.
