“Whether you’ve been an employee of a co-op for years or are new to the electric utility industry, the CFPC curriculum provides a comprehensive understanding of financial topics and tools relevant to electric cooperatives. Additionally, participants join a strong network of co-op colleagues to share experiences and ideas.”

Even with 22 years of senior finance leadership experience in electric cooperatives, the CFPC program provided me with surprising new insights, tools, and professional contacts. The Capstone Project challenged everyone to use an analytical and collaborative approach to exploring and implementing our individual financial strategies. Everyone had the chance to learn from and mentor others and build lasting, trusting relationships.

Lark James, Senior VP-Finance & CFONorth Carolina Electric Membership Corporation (NCEMC) Raleigh, North Carolina

A. Tod Young, Director of Finance and AccountingFlathead Electric Cooperative, Inc. Kalispell, Montana

I took the CFPC program after having been at my cooperative for less than 4 years and with a minimal amount of electric cooperative finance experience. The program helped put the big picture together and gave me the chance to network with a variety of cooperative employees in dierent roles.

Michael Weeks, Chief Administrative OcerTri County Electric Cooperative, Inc. Saint Matthews, South Carolina

My interest in the CFPC program was focused on ensuring our organization is appropriately aligned with current industry best practices and to expand methods of communicating key financial information to our Board of Directors. The program did a great job of fulfilling these objectives.
