NEW YORK REGION 2012 EASTER CONVENTION 3
Our Most highly distinguished National Head, Apostle Dr.Emmanuel Owusu, Members of the Regional Executive,fellow ministers and their wives, and general mem-
bership of the Church Of Pentecost, New York Region, I deem it ahigh honor to address this special annual gathering held to cele-brate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
On behalf of our Region, I render our utmost gratitude and thanksto the most high God through whose benevolence and sacrificiallove, the Lord Jesus was offered as a propitiation for our sins, thusmaking us sons and daughters of the kingdom of light.
I would like to place on record, the Region’s inestimable apprecia-tion to the Planning Committee that worked tirelessly to put thisgreat event together, with special thanks to the host minister, Pas-tor Seth Asante who chaired the committee spending countlesshours and efforts to provide us with this elegant and confortable en-vironment for our purposes. We say God bless you greatly.
The Theme for our 2012 Easter Convention is “The Blood Of Jesusis my Ransom” – I Pet. 1:18-20. The shedding of the blood of Jesus,without which there will be no remission of sins, is the fundamentalcornerstone of our calling into the Kingdom of God. It is thereforehighly befitting, that we spend this great weekend remembering andcelebrating the efficacy of the Blood and the Hope of glory that wefind in the resurrection. Further, we are gathered here to share fel-
lowship with one another and to be blessed by the inspiring andspirit filled messages from our Apostles and Ministers. Given its cel-ebratory tone, we are also going to dedicate time to heartfelt praiseand worship of our risen Lord.
Brethren, undoubtedly, last year’s Easter Convention were a re-markable success. Since our God is always up to new things, I main-tain that this year’s gathering will be extraordinary. If you fully availyourself and participate with diligence in every facet of the pro-gram, you will never leave here the same.
Beloved people of God, much prayer has gone into this event. TheHeavens are ready, the Father is ready, the Son is ready, the HolySpirit is ready and your able God appointed ministers are ready-something special is coming your way as we claim our redemptionand inheritance through the Blood. It is my prayer that over this weekend, you will remain sober, atten-tive and receptive, so that you will not miss out on any blessing ap-portioned for you in this event through the precarious death of Jesuson the Cross.
On this note, with the third person of the trinity in control, our ableNational Head in the Chair, I am very pleased to officially and formallydeclare open the 2012 New York Region Easter Convention.Be blessed, enjoy yourselves and have a HAPPY EASTER CELEBRATION IN HIS PRESENCE!

When I survey the wondrous CrossOn which the Prince of Glory died,My richest gain I count but loss,And pour contempt on all my pride.
Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,Save in the death of Christ, my God;All the vain things that charm me most,I sacri4ce them to His blood.
See, from His head, His hands, His feet,Sorrow and love 5ow mingled downDid e’er such love and sorrow meet,Or thorns compose so rich a crown?
Were the whole realm of nature mine2at were an offering far too small;Love so amazing, so divineDemands my soul, my life, my all.

“Man of sorrow”, What a name
“Man of sorrow”, what a name!For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Bearing shame and scoffing rude,In my place condemned He stood;Sealed my pardon with his blood;
Hallelujah! What a Savior
Guilty, vile, and helpless we,Spotless lamb of God was he;
“Full atonement, can it be?”Hallelujah! What a Savior!
Lifted up was he to die,“It is 8nished” was His cry;
Now in heaven exalted high;Hallelujah! What a Savior
When He comes, our glorious King.All His ransomed home to bring,
en anew this song we’ll sing;Hallelujah! What a Savior
God sent His son3
12 THE CHURCH OF PENTECOST U.S.A., INC.
God sent His son, they called him Jesus He came to love, heal and forgiveHe lived and died to buy my pardonAn empty grave is there to proveMy Savior lives.
ChorusBecause He lives, I can face tomorrowBecause he lives all fear is goneBecause I know He holds the futureAnd life is worth the living just because Helives
How sweet to hold a new born babyAnd feel the pride and joy he gives But greater still the calm assurance is child can face uncertain days because He lives
And the day I’ll crossthe river;I’ll 8ght life’s 8nal war with pain;And then as death gives way to vict’ryI’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He lives.

My hope is built on nothing lessan Jesus’ blood and righteousness I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
ChorusOn Christ, the solid rock, I stand;All other ground is sinking sand
When darkness seems to veil His face;I rest on His unchanging grace;In every high and stormy gale,My anchor holds within the veil.
His oath, His covenant, and blood, Support one in the ‘whelming 9ood’When all around my soul gives way,He then is all my hope and stay.
When He shall come with trumpet sound.Oh, may I then in Him be found:Dressed in His righteousness alone,Faultless to stand before the throne..
My Hope is builton nothing less
